Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) is the closest airport. It’s about a 30-minute drive to Oakland, the neighborhood where the hotel is and where wedding events will take place.
How do we get from the airport to the hotel?
Getting to the hotel is easy! Uber/Lyft are readily available from the airport’s rideshare curb. Rental cars are available if you want to explore Pittsburgh. The 28X Airport Flyer bus runs from the airport to Oakland and is a budget-friendly option that stops close to the hotel.
Where do we park?
Being honest, parking in Pittsburgh, and especially in Oakland, can be CHALLENGING! At the hotel, there is valet-only parking for $35/night. Within a 5-minute walk of the hotel, there is the Forbes Semple Garage, for which whole-day parking is usually $24. At First Trinity (ceremony venue), there is a small parking lot and many parallel parking spots along the main road. At Phipps (reception venue), there are a limited number of normal parking spaces and many paid parallel parking spaces along the road.
Parallel parking is common across Pittsburgh, so please keep this in mind if you plan to drive around the city.
How do we get to the wedding?
The ceremony venue, First Trinity Lutheran Church, and the reception venue, Phipps Conservatory, are both about 1 mile from the hotel. Transportation will not be provided, but guests may choose to walk, Uber/Lyft, or drive to the venues and park nearby.
