Sarah & Austin met on June 13, 2017 at Elliott Bay Book Company in Seattle. Sarah even saved a bookmark because she knew there was something special about that moment :-)

Along with cousins and friends, they rented a van and drove 8 hours to Montana for one week in paradise. There, YurtFest™ was born.

In July, Sarah visited Atlanta for the first time! This marked the "official" start to their relationship.

And in September, Austin came up to Madison to see what the boats and Bucky Badger were all about! Go Big Red!

That October, Sarah went to work in France...

while Austin built bridges in Miami.

Lots of early morning phone calls and 2:00am FaceTimes later, E U R O T R I P ! Austin flew across the pond to spend 3 magical weeks with Sarah in Europe. Together they conquered 6 countries. They first took in the magnificent sites of Paris! Ooh la la, oui oui!

They spent Christmas in Prague and enjoyed some surprisingly good late-night Mexican food.

Next, Sarah insisted they hit the *major* landmarks in Berlin!

Finally, they finished their travels in Amsterdam for New Year's Eve and saw the most incredible fireworks!

Inspired by true love and devotion, Sarah flew back to Wisconsin, said goodbye to her life in Madison and moved to Atlanta to be with Austin.

They didn't waste any time at all and immediately went to the shelter to bring home the sweetest angel and (wo)man's best friend: Frances!

Sarah attended her first Atlanta United game on St. Patty's Day! Austin was one lucky guy.

Afraid she'd lost her will to go on living in the south, Sarah finally found a Culver's in Georgia and all was rainbows and unicorns.

After years of hard work, Austin graduated from Georgia Tech and became a civil engineer! Go Jackets!

In March 2019, Sarah and Austin traveled west to see if what they saw on Portlandia was true. But first, Austin took Sarah skiing on Mt. Hood!

The following year, they decided to hit some bigger slopes. Road trip to Breckinridge! Little did they know, COVID had other plans.

The ski resorts closed the same day they got to Colorado, so they spent a day at Red Rocks before driving another 20 hours home to Atlanta!

After making it back safely, Sarah begged Austin to foster Ringo Dog! Frances loved having a sleeping buddy.

The pandemic didn't stop these two from living! They soon drove north to spend the 4th of July at Sarah's cabin in the UP with cousins!

Fast forward 1 year, and it was time, that's right, for another insane road trip. Texas Forever Baby! They visited UT-Austin to see where Sarah once lived her days as Sally...

Sarah always dreamed of visiting Prada Marfa. When Austin suggested they extend their trip by driving another 7 hours to Marfa, she thought "wow, I should really marry this guy!"

Surprise!!! Austin proposed to Sarah at Guadalupe Mountains National Park hours later.

After MUCH deliberation and discussion, Sarah & Austin packed everything up and started their new journey in Portland.

One last stop at the motherland!
