Tucked into the scenic West Hills of Portland near Washington Park and the International Rose Test Garden, the Portland Japanese Garden is a haven of meticulously maintained, tranquil beauty. Proclaimed as one of the most authentic Japanese gardens outside of Japan, the 12-acre space includes an authentic Japanese tea house, meandering streams, intimate walkways, and an unsurpassed view of Mount Hood.

Located below the St. John's Bridge in North Portland, Cathedral Park offers a quiet escape from the city, beautiful views of Forest Park, and delicious tacos at the nearby Tienda Santa Cruz!

During our first visit to Portland in 2019, Austin and I meandered around The Pearl, through the northwest neighborhoods, and up the hill to Pittock Mansion.

On a clear day, this place offers a stunning view of the city below and beautiful Mount Hood in the distance.

This is one of our favorite spots to grab a beer and sit outside! The street is full of shops and bars and you're bound to have a great time exploring this neighborhood.
