Our story starts all the way back in 2008 at a high school party. We went to different schools but exchanged numbers and texted back and forth for a little while (on T9 flip phones, naturally, if you know, you know). Nothing ever came of it, and life carried on until fate decided to step in again.

Fast forward to 2016, we reconnected on Facebook and started talking. A few weeks later, we met up at an outdoor patio on a chilly October night. The only reason we braved the cold? Grace, Sarah’s dog, had to come with, and thank goodness she did. That night, Grace made it clear who her person was, jumping into Ryan's lap and staying there the entire night. Sarah followed shortly after.

Just two months later, Sarah packed up her life and moved to Kalispell, Montana, where Ryan was living. Some people thought we were crazy for moving so fast, but we just knew. That year in Montana gave us some of the best memories and experiences we never could have imagined. In 2017, we made the decision to move back home to Colorado to be closer to family, friends, and warmer winters. We've built our life in Loveland with our two pups, Grace and Gus, our little family.

On July 29, 2024, we got engaged in Eagle River, Wisconsin at Sarah’s family cabin, a place that holds so much meaning. It was a perfect summer night, watching the sunset on the dock when Ryan surprised Sarah with the most exciting question. It couldn’t have been a more perfect spot, in the place where Sarah spent every summer growing up and one that became just as special to Ryan over the years. It was also Sarah’s late father’s favorite place and where he cherished time with his children. We know he was there in spirit that night, smiling down on us.

Over the last eight years, we've built a life full of laughter and adventures. Whether we're traveling, watching a new show, going to hockey games, or just hanging out at home with the dogs, we're happiest simply being together. We are each other's best friends, biggest supporters, and can't wait to keep writing our story together.
