Ask David and Sarah who made the first move and you're bound to get a different answer from each of them.

Their paths first crossed at Emmanuel Barrie's Young Adults group in the summer of 2020. They officially started their relationship in May of 2022. They have endured long-distance dating, while Sarah studied Physiotherapy at the University of Toronto.

Adventure has been a defining feature of David and Sarah's relationship from almost the very beginning. On just their second date the pair ventured on a near full-day kayaking trip. Things went full circle then when David convinced Sarah to go on yet another nautical trip July 8, 2023. Little did Sarah know, when their kayaks hit shore this time, a special message in a bottle was buried at their beach destination, which set off the fireworks of their proposal.

Their engagement season has been one where they have witnessed the intertwined nature of joy and suffering around them. This has only further revealed their deep love for the other person and earnest desire to walk through this life as husband and wife.
