Our Love Story

Andrew and Sarah’s love story began in the summer of 2015, shortly after Sarah graduated from high school. Andrew had just finished up his first year at TVCC and was home for the summer. Their relationship began in a way that most millennial relationships do- Andrew slid into Sarah’s DMs and they had an instant connection. They met after a few weeks of virtual chatting and phone calls, when Sarah asked Andrew to come pick her up from a graduation party. The two drove around downtown Boise all night, talking about anything and everything until the sun came up. After that night, it was clear there was something special between them. Although hesitant to start a relationship, as they were both leaving for college in a couple short months, they decided to give it a shot. The next few weeks, they spent every moment together that they could, and on the 4th of July, Andrew built up the courage to ask Sarah to be his girlfriend. (The picture above was from the night they became official)

A month later, they both went off to college and had to learn how to navigate through a new long distance relationship. As many know, long distance relationships can be tough, but they learned to communicate effectively, and saw each other as often as they could. After a year, Sarah made the tough decision to come back to Boise, transitioning from being a Vandal to a Bronco at Boise State. (She is always a vandal at heart though) This move home allowed their relationship to grow stronger as long distance was no longer a factor. Although their relationship wasn’t always perfect, they faced their challenges together which grew their bond stronger than ever.

In 2019, the two decided to take the next big step in their relationship and plant their roots in Boise, buying their first house. Together they learned the joys and challenges that come with homeownership, and have almost competed the renovation of their 1999 home. Just a year later, their family grew by one when Andrew surprised Sarah for her birthday with their first puppy, Bronx. Bronx was the biggest blessing and the Clark/Prince clans first grand puppy. Bronx brought so much happiness into their lives, that a year later, they decided to bring home a little brother for him. Another golden puppy, Brewer. Although Bronx was not as thrilled as they hoped, Brewer brought so much joy into the home with his unique personality and goofy tendencies. Over the last couple years, the two pups have grown to love each other like brothers, and their little family feels complete! (For now)

Toward the end of 2023, Andrew knew he wanted to take the next step with Sarah, so he went and bought a ring. He knew he wanted to propose sometime during the holiday season, but he was waiting for the perfect moment. The night before Christmas Eve, Andrew and Sarah were up late wrapping presents and talking about their future together, when Andrew realized he no longer wanted to wait for the perfect moment, he wanted to propose right then and there. He had the ring hidden near by, so he grabbed it and got down on one knee. The two shared an intimate moment in their first home surrounded by their two pups. The proposal couldn’t have been more perfect as they stayed up all night talking about their future together- ecstatic to share the news with their friends and family the next day.

Andrew and Sarah look forward to their new chapter together and know they couldn’t have made it this far without the love and support from each and every one of you. They can’t wait for 2025, to celebrate a decade of love, and a lifetime of happiness together.
