Our Wedding

Sarah and Shane met in the summer of 2011 at the lake in their hometown of Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Sarah was entering her senior year of high school, and Shane was about to start college. Although there were a few sparks at first, it would be another four years before their relationship really took off. In the six years they've been together, Sarah and Shane have graduated college together; gone through further education and obtained advanced degrees; traveled to Europe; moved from Nebraska to Kansas City, Missouri, then to Rapid City, South Dakota; bought a house; and (their pride and joy), brought home their two dogs, Aspen and Timber.

Shane and Sarah's favorite things to do in the Black Hills. -Favorite Hikes-Black Elk Peak-Highest point in the black hills.-Buzzard's Roost-Flume trail at Sheridan Lake-Hike along the old mining flume bed and find the tunnels.-Hippie hole-Nice short hike close to where we are getting married. -Favorite Scenic Drives-Iron Mountain Road-Scenic view of Mt Rushmore though the eye of a tunnel.-Spearfish Canyon-Find all of the waterfalls.-Needles Highway-Custer wildlife loop-Get to see lots of buffalo, feed the burrows through your car window, and hopefully see some elk and bighorns.-Favorite activities-Mount Rushmore-Crazy Horse memorial-Bear Country-Drive through wildlife park where you get to see bears, wolves, elk, bighorn sheep, lynx, reindeer, and many more animals.-1880 Train in Hill City-Take a leisurely ride through the black hills from Hill City to Keystone.-Visit the historic town of Deadwood and try your luck at thecasinos.-Mammoth Site in Hot Springs-Go see amazing dinosaur fossils and the active dig site with tons of preserved mammoth skeletons.-Wind Cave national park-Amazing tours of the giant cave.-Rush mountain adventure park in Keystone-Everything from alpine slides, ziplines, and Rushmore cave.Fun towns to visit-Downtown Keysone-lots of shopping and restaurants.
