...in a far away land called Providence College, a bored maiden decided to follow her ladies in waiting (roommates) up the tower of Ditrag (dorm apartments). There she met a handsome prince who whisked her away to an enchanted forest overflowing with ruffians and thugs (partying college kids) and drinks that tasted of poison apples (whiskey sours...shout out to Olds!)

The prince won the maiden over with his wit and good looks and bewitched her on the first night they met by transporting her to a magical television to watch the Disney Classic, "Aladdin"!





The rest is history for these lovers. Even when the prince was banished to an evil land (Connecticut to work for the accounting firm Deloitte) and the maiden was called back to her kingdom to work (the Magic Kingdom that is), their love grew stronger. Together they escaped all evil powers and&nbsp;settled in the village of Westborough, MA. 





Then one day when the maiden returned to her kingdom for a celebration (The Princess Half Marathon in Walt Disney World), the prince magically appeared with their entire family&nbsp;to give&nbsp;her true loves kiss (and some royal jewels to go with it!)





Now, the prince and his lost princess cordially invite you to their happily ever after.

While our wedding is occurring at the Walt Disney World Resort, all events are occurring outside of the theme parks.

Walt Disney World Park Ticket Information

Walt Disney World offers an array of theme park ticket options through a program called Magic Your Way. These tickets provide admission to Walt Disney World’s four Parks:

The simplest option, visiting one theme park for one day, is called a 1-Day Base Ticket. Other features, such as the ability to visit more than one park per day (“park-hopping”), or the inclusion of admission to Disney’s minor venues like water parks (<a href="https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/destinations/typhoon-lagoon/" target="_blank">Typhoon Lagoon</a>, <a href="https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/destinations/blizzard-beach/" target="_blank">Blizzard Beach</a>, mini-golf, and the like), are available as individual add-ons to the Base Ticket. Your cost per ticket will lower the more days of admission purchased for the same trip. Tickets expire after 14 days of the first use including the day of use (if you use a ticket on August 1st, you will&nbsp;have between August 2nd and August 14th to use the additional days purchased for that ticket.)







At this time, the base price per day for tickets is $122.00/ticket+tax from August 4th-August 10th, 2019 and $114/ticket+tax from August 11th-August 16th, 2019. Adding the Park Hopper Option is an additional $55.00+tax and adding the Park Hopper Plus Option is an additional $80.00+tax.&nbsp;

Extra Magic Hours

Disney Resort Guests will also be able to enjoy&nbsp;Extra Magic Hours.&nbsp;On certain days of the week, guests can enter a park&nbsp;one&nbsp;hour&nbsp;earlier or stay in a park up to&nbsp;two&nbsp;hours&nbsp;later than normal park operating hours. We are excited to hear that many of our guests will be joining us in making a vacation out of our wedding weekend! We also know not everyone is a “Disney Person” so this may be your first time back in a long while or even your first trip! Our hope is that everyone has the most fun possible during their trip, and with this in mind, we wanted to provide some helpful information regarding the major changes at Disney World in the last few years!

MyDisneyExperience

This will be your Walt Disney World info central for booking dining reservations, booking FastPass+ experiences, finding out about showtimes and Park hours, checking attraction wait times, navigating Park maps, collecting PhotoPass pictures taken by Disney Cast Members, and even placing mobile quick-service dining orders. You can also coordinate your selections with other guests that are traveling with you. We suggest that you pack an external battery pack as relying on the app all day can be battery draining.

MagicBands

If you decide to make your stay on Disney Property, you will receive a Magic Band by mail to use during our wedding weekend (bands can also be <a href="https://www.shopdisney.com/collections/magicband" target="_blank">purchased</a> by off-property guests who choose to visit the Parks). Be sure to customize your bands online before they are shipped!

These wrist bands connect all the vacation choices guests make online with <a href="https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/plan/my-disney-experience/" target="_blank">My Disney Experience</a>. Guests can use their MagicBand to enter their Disney Resort hotel room, buy food and merchandise, board the Magical Express, and enter Walt Disney World Theme Parks and Water Parks. Plus, the MagicBand provides FastPass+ access to all the experiences you have selected and serves as the connection to <a href="https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/guest-services/photo-pass-service/" target="_blank">Disney’s PhotoPass</a> photography service.

FastPass+

Probably the most mind-blowing and confusing change at Disney Parks for guest who have not visited recently, is the new <a href="https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/fastpass-plus/" target="_blank">FastPass+ System</a>. Gone are the paper FastPasses and the notion that you can decide what attractions you are interested in on that day&nbsp;as opposed to planning ahead. Instead you are allowed to choose up to 3 FastPasses in the same Park for each day you have included in your ticket purchase (starting 60 days before your trip for resort guests and 30 days before for all other guests).

As frequent Disney World guests, we insist that you do this immediately 60 days/30 days out, so that you can make the most of your days in the Parks. It can be extremely difficult to get FastPasses the day of for the more popular attractions. Following your use of the third pre-selected FastPass, you can then make another FastPass at any Park that day at either a FastPass+ Kiosk or on the MyDisneyExperience (MDE) App. You can continue this process until all FastPasses for the day have expired. We suggest that you avoid making FastPasses for fireworks and nighttime spectaculars as&nbsp;FastPasses for these events&nbsp;will prevent you from making further FastPasses after your 3 pre-selected FastPasses for the day.&nbsp;

Using FastPass+

All park guests &mdash; including those staying at Disney Resorts, Annual Passholders AND day guests using MagicBands or Magic Your Way Passes, can use FastPass+ without an additional fee. However, only Disney Resort guests who already have purchased and registered their tickets can schedule FastPass+ times using the My Disney Experience (MDE) website or mobile app up to 60 days in advance of their visit to the Parks. Offsite guests (day guests) and Annual Passholders can schedule FastPass+ times 30 days in advance of their visit, using MDE, or they can use&nbsp;the in-park FastPass+ Kiosks the day of their visit.

FastPass+ is essentially a “virtual” queuing system &mdash; guests using FastPass+ are entered into a virtual queue at an attraction that saves their space in line.























To obtain FastPass+ using the My Disney Experience website or mobile app:

<a href="https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/link/" target="_blank">Make sure your park tickets are linked to your account</a>.
Once logged in, hover the cursor over the MY DISNEY EXPERIENCE link on the right side of the top navigation bar.
Under the heading "Plan and Manage", select FastPass+: Select the day you want to make plans for.
Select "Make your FP+ Selections". Select the members of your party you will be making plans for. Select the park you will be visiting.
Select up to three preferences. All must be in the same park. (Important note: In Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and&nbsp; Disney's Animal Kingdom you Select ONE Attraction from Tier 1 and then up to two in Tier 2.)
If you don’t reserve any FastPass+ options prior to coming to the Parks, you can also do so&nbsp;once you are there. First, if you have a paper ticket you must exchange it for a plastic card ticket with an RFID chip (or purchase a MagicBand). Next, go to&nbsp; a FastPass+ Kiosk (a castmember should be able to direct you to one). After entering the information for each member of your party, pick 3 FastPass+ attractions and times for the day. Each person can select different options later if desired through the MDE App, but you need to select options as a group first.
After using all 3 FastPasses selected in advanced, you are free to select the next available FastPass through the MDE App or Kiosk at any Park you plan to visit that day.

Other Things To Do

Disney Dining

Dining reservations can be made&nbsp;up to 180 days before your 1st day of check-in.&nbsp;

For guests staying at a Disney Resort: For example,&nbsp;if you are checking in on August 8, 2019&nbsp;you can make ALL dining reservations for your stay&nbsp;on February 9, 2018.&nbsp;















For Off Property Guests not staying at a Disney Resort: For&nbsp;example,&nbsp;if you are visiting Magic Kingdom on August 11, 2019,&nbsp;you can make reservations (for meals at Magic Kingdom only for that day) on February&nbsp;12, 2018.&nbsp;&nbsp;

















We encourage ALL of our guests (on and off Disney property) to make <a href="https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/#/reservations-accepted" target="_blank">reservations</a> at the&nbsp;180 day mark. Many of the popular character and Disney dining experiences will book up quickly.&nbsp;

















IF you would like to take part in a character dining experience it is&nbsp;imperative&nbsp;that you make a reservation.&nbsp;











We suggest that you only make reservations for dinner, and possibly buffet/brunch breakfasts, as there are plenty of amazing <a href="https://wdwprepschool.com/top-quick-service-restaurants-at-disney-world/" target="_blank">quick service</a>&nbsp;options for a quick&nbsp;bite!

Beyond the Parks

<a href="https://www.disneysprings.com" target="_blank">Disney Springs</a> (which was known as Downtown Disney up until September of 2015) is a shopping and entertainment area that is free for anybody to enter. The bride to be spent many hours wandering around this location as a broke&nbsp;Disney College Program Cast Member and highly suggests exploring here if you are not planning on going to the Parks. Shopping, dining, drinking, bowling, and seeing a movie on the big screen are only some of the options at Disney Springs.&nbsp;

Golfing at Disney































You may not know that there are four world class golf courses located at Walt Disney World. Take a magical boat ride from the Magic Kingdom&nbsp;to this hidden gem of Disney World. For those of you asking when we are planning to be at the Walt Disney World for our nuptials, these future newlyweds are flying down to Orlando, FL on Wednesday, August 7th, 2019 with their bridal parties. The bride to be is celebrating her Bachelorette Party on Thursday, August 8th, 2019&nbsp;with her Bride Tribe and friends, while the groom will be spending time with his groomsmen.&nbsp;

<li>Continue on Epcot Center Drive.</li>
<li>Drive and exit on the right to World Drive.</li>
<li>Follow signs for Magic Kingdom® Park.</li>
<li>Enter the Magic Kingdom® toll plaza on the right side next to the bus lane.</li>
<li>Go through the Magic Kingdom toll plaza and tell the parking attendant that you are going to the Wedding Pavilion at the Grand Floridian for the Travis/Leo wedding starting at 2:30pm.</li>
<li>Continue through the toll plaza and follow the green line following signs towards the resorts.</li>
<li>Continue to the traffic signal and turn left at Seven Seas Drive.</li>

Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter

If you choose to stay at a resort outside of our room block, please be aware that Disney does not have direct transportation between resort hotels. These directions include the most direct ways to get to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa for the wedding ceremony and reception location. However, Disney World transportation is known to have an erratic schedule due to crowd levels and traffic, so it is suggested that you leave at least between 12:00pm-12:30pm before the ceremony to arrive on time. If you have extra time prior to the ceremony, enjoy the Grand Floridan’s gorgeous lobby and grounds or grab a drink at <a href="https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/grand-floridian-resort-and-spa/mizner-lounge/" target="_blank">Mizner’s Lounge</a> (opens at 1:00pm) and get the party started!

<li>Take Disney Transportation from your resort (i.e. bus, Monorail, or watercraft transportation) to the Magic Kingdom Park.</li><li>At the Magic Kingdom Park, transfer to the Walt Disney World Resort Monorail or watercraft transportation that is heading towards the Grand Floridian Resort.</li><li>Please note, there are two monorail lines (an express that goes to the Transportation and Ticket Center as well as a Resort line), please take the <a href="https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/guest-services/monorail-transportation/" target="_blank">Resort Line</a> if using the monorail.</li><li>There are also two forms of <a href="https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/guest-services/water-transportation/" target="_blank">boat transportation</a> (a ferry that goes directly to the Transportation and Ticket Center as well as smaller boats that service the 3 resorts on the lake), please take the smaller resort boats if using boat travel.</li><li>Go to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa (4th stop on the Monorail from Magic Kingdom Park; 1st stop via watercraft transportation from Magic Kingdom Park).</li><li>Walk towards Beach/Pool/Spa/Health Center.</li><li>Follow pathway to Disney's Wedding Pavilion.</li></ul>





















Alternatively, you are welcome to find your own transportation to the Disney’s Contemporary Resort or Disney’s Port Orleans-French Quarter in order to utilized our complimentary transportation for wedding guests.&nbsp;

Directions from a Disney Owned and Operated On-Site Resort to the Ceremony

If you do not have a car and Disney Transportation has ended for the night, we would recommend you download and use the <a href="https://www.uber.com/invite/anf3x" target="_blank">Uber</a> and/or <a href="https://www.lyft.com/rider" target="_blank">Lyft</a> apps on your smartphone (available for Android or iPhone). If you are not familiar, both of these services are like taxis that will come directly to your location and take you wherever you need to go. The prices for rides taken through the apps are also significantly cheaper than using the standard Mears Taxis available in the Orlando area.

Disney has partnered with Lyft to provide their own personal ride service running from 6:30am-12:30am daily, which can be accessed through the Lyft App. This service operates similarly to Lyft with distance based pricing and can accommodate up to six guests per trip.

If you are choosing to extend your trip at Walt Disney World beyond our wedding celebrations, it is useful to have an understanding of how Disney Transportation Services are organized. There are currently buses, boats, ferries, and the monorail available at various locations free of charge.
