Please see the attached directions, and bring a copy with you. It's important to note there is no cell service including GPS once you leave the highway, though there is wifi at the lake. The road to the lake is a small dirt road that can be rough and we suggest carpooling.
Leonard Lake Reserve is remotely located and we suggest you book accommodations at the site. Feel free to come and go as is convenient for you! The wedding starts at 3 pm on Saturday, but it is a long drive and you are welcome to drive up on Friday and stay the night before as well.
To book accommodations, contact Sarah or Dean (strosin@gmail.com or dean.lockhead@gmail.com) to notify number of guests and number of beds needed. It's $175 per adult for the entire weekend (including food). Payment can be sent via PayPal (strosin@gmail.com), Venmo, Square Cash, or check. We don't want the cost to preclude anyone attending, so let us know if that would be a barrier. The most important thing is to have you there with us!
We have booked the site for the full weekend, Friday evening through Monday late morning. This includes all six houses at Leonard Lake and there are enough accommodations for all 75 guests. Please let us know if you are interested in staying on site (our recommendation). We will be providing food for all of the onsite guests from Friday evening to Monday morning. Note that there are a limited number of private rooms and that some guests will need to share space with others (more than one bed in several rooms). There is also the option to camp onsite, should you desire to do so.
Leonard Lake Reserve covers 4,000 acres of private woodland and offers a wide variety of outdoors activities. With its natural beauty comes a price: bugs! There are ticks and mosquitoes at the reserve in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. While September is a "light" time of the year, we suggest that you plan accordingly and bring closed-toed shoes and long pants for hiking. We will provide an unlimited supply of bug spray to keep the critters at bay.
