Hilton Head Island Rentals

If you'll be traveling with a group and would prefer to rent a house, we recommend checking out VRBO, Airbnb, Island Getaway, Island Time HHI, Palmetto Dunes, and Host & Home for luxury vacation rentals in the area. The best area to stay is Shelter Cove, as boats will be leaving from Shelter Cove Marina. Shuttle service will be provided to the boat from Home2 Suites and SpringHill Suites only.

Bars & Restaurants

The home of the iconic T-shirt you probably see everywhere, The Salty Dog Cafe has shops, drinks, and fresh seafood overlooking the South Beach Marina.

The Salty Dog Cafe

Drinks on the beach and live music.

Tiki Hut

Sarah's all-time favorite restaurant in Hilton Head. Whatever you do, don't miss the Homemade Lowcountry Pimento Cheese, Fried Green Tomato Stack, Baked Mac n Cheese, and ESPECIALLY the Banana Puddin' — it's iconic. Sarah's go-to is the Southern Belle Salad, and vegetarians will LOVE Susie Q’s Blackened Tofu Melt.

A Lowcountry Backyard Restaurant

We love the lobster roll at Coast! Oceanfront dining at its finest in the Sea Pines area.

Coast

The Sea Shack is Hilton Head Island's best hidden seafood secret. The locals' favorite takeout spot for the freshest seafood and down-home southern, low-country style cooking in town.

The Sea Shack

You want good hushpuppies and great fried fish? This is the spot to go. Dayboat seafood served in a 1912 factory, still partly used to process fish, with dockside seating.

Hudson's Seafood House On The Docks

A close second in the hushpuppies department, Fishcamp offers Southern-style seafood in a cabin–like space with a patio and a fire pit.

Fishcamp on Broad Creek

A great steakhouse and delicious cocktails if you're looking for comfort food.

WiseGuys

A classic diner right next to our favorite mini golf spot, if you're looking for a quick bite (and big cookies) this is it.

Shopping Areas

Our favorite shops to visit at Coligny are Black Market Minerals, The Shell Shop, Island Fudge Shop, Big Bamboo, Carolina Tasting Room, Carolina Coffee & Crumbs, Frozen Moo, Sweet Al's, and Skillets.

Coligny Plaza Shopping Center

The Harbour Town Lighthouse in Sea Pines includes a museum, a shop, 104 steps to the top, and is a premier local wedding venue with many restaurants and sightseeing in the surrounding area.

Harbour Town Lighthouse

Home of the famous Salty Dog Cafe, South Beach Marina is a waterfront shopping/dining district right on the marina with boutiques, shops, docks, and other restaurants.

Golf Courses

Harbour Town is one of the most iconic golf courses in the country. Since 1969, it has hosted the RBC Heritage on the PGA Tour, usually in mid-April, the week after The Masters. Book ahead of time!

Harbour Town Golf Links

Designed by Pete Dye, this golf course is a classic Sea Pines layout with a mix of risk/reward holes and scenic fairways. Generally considered very strong quality and playability, and often rated a bit more forgiving than Harbour Town, this course suits a wide range of players.

Heron Point by Pete Dye

This golf course, also in Sea Pines, is known for having great seaside character with its shell-lined bunkers and coastal landscaping.

Atlantic Dunes by Davis Love III

This golf course, in the Palmetto Dunes area, is famous for its oceanfront holes and dramatic design.

Robert Trent Jones Oceanfront Golf Course

Located in Palmetto dunes, this golf course has a scenic layout with lagoons and thoughtful shot values.

Arthur Hills Golf Course

This is one of the more challenging golf courses in Palmetto Dunes. It includes multiple water features.
