Amsterdam is a vibe. The main thing that we love about this city is not a specific activity or museum but to just every day things.
There are are many beautiful neighbourhoods to walk through and sit down to have coffee, wine or food. We strongly suggest to just stroll around the 9 streets, Oud West and Oud Zuid. Or go to more hipster neighbourhoods like De Pijp or De Noord just across the water. Please see the little map below.
If you are more about that organised fun vibe, please see some suggestions below.

Some of the most famous museums in Amsterdam are located at Museumplein. This largest square of Amsterdam is bordered by some excellent museums like the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Stedelijk Museum, and Moco Museum.
The square was reconstructed in 1999 by the Swedish landscape architect Sven-Ingvar Andersson. It is used for (mass) events such as festivals, celebrations, and demonstrations.
The Anne Frank House is the actual building where Anne Frank wrote her world-famous diary. Her diary tells the story of the horrors of WOII, through the eyes of a young Jewish girl growing up, hidden away from society. A fascinating but tragic story.
Amsterdam is a beautiful city to discover by bike! From our experience, it’s the best way to get around in town. Discover Amsterdam’s highlights or go explore the lovely rural areas.
