We love our city and are so excited to share it with all of you! We are grateful you have decided to travel to Denver to celebrate with us and hope you can make the most out of the trip. Below you can find some of our favorites:
Experience the immersive art exhibit that is Meow Wolf. This trippy experience is a must-do if it's your first time in a city where it is available.
A great central location in Downtown Denver where you will find shops, breweries, and other restaurants to explore. Union Station itself is beautiful and will be bustling with tourists and locals alike.
The Rockies are in town August 26th through September 1st playing the Florida Marlins and the Baltimore Orioles. If you are a baseball fan, Coors field is an amazing place to catch a baseball game and it has some of the cheapest beer/tickets in The League.
You are also welcome to join us that Sunday the 1st for the game.
One of the oldest streets in Denver, this street is known for its shops, restaurants, and Instagram worthy picture opportunities.
One of the "hip" neighborhoods in the city known for its colorful graffiti murals, bars, breweries, and vibrant social scene.
1Up is one of our favorite bars in the city where you can go and enjoy a video game themed drink while playing classic arcade games like Galaga and Donkey Kong or modern games like Time Crisis. There are multiple locations in the city but our favorite is the Colfax location.
No Denver wedding website would be complete without Casa Bonita, a staple of Denver made infamous by South Park. They recently were purchased by the creators of South Park and underwent a revamp (the sopapillas are still good I hear) so if you are planning on going while in town then be sure to try and get tickets way in advance.
A wonderful place to go and see native Colorado flowers, trees, and other plants
What's better than a beautiful park in one of Denver's hip neighborhoods? How about a beautiful haunted park with a rich history to explore.
As the story goes, Cheesman used to be a graveyard until the City decided they wanted to convert it into a park. The City hired an individual to exhume the bodies and paid him per casket so this budding entrepreneur decided to chop up the bodies and spread them across more caskets than was necessary to make some extra money.
Every Sunday from Spring to Fall South Pearl Street in the Platt Park neighborhood comes alive with vendors and thousands of patrons. Check it out, try some fire roasted green chiles, meet all the dogs, and enjoy one of the best farmers markets in the city.
Another Denver staple, Red Rocks is the premiere outdoor music venue. Though you may not be able to catch a show while in town, it also doubles as a park during the day so you can drive out and hike around or brave the steps for some exercise.
One of our personal favorite restaurants in the city. This restaurant/brewery is known for their English Pub aesthetic, strong beers, and delicious grub. It is also walking distance from our hotel blocks.
Another of our favorite restaurants. We always find ourselves gravitating back to this delectable establishment which hosts a mezcal bar in the back.
Enjoy a local Colorado distillery tour and leave with some of your own to take with you back to wherever you are joining us from.
Pro-tip: the tour is free on Sundays if you are a Colorado resident, or if you go with a Colorado resident
Our favorite pizza joint in the city. They have three locations but this is our local neighborhood one.
Pro-tip: Get the BBQ nachos, your stomach will thank you.
One of Denver's best, but lesser known to the outside world, breweries. They are known for their IPAs and experimental beers.
A brewery located in the previously mentioned RiNo neighborhood which is known for their "Slow Pour Pills" which supposedly takes 5 minutes to pour and their large lawn games situated inside a warehouse setting.
Looking to watch some of the opening weekend college football games before the wedding but want to be sure you are close to the venue? Then look no further than Dive Inn, one of our personal favorite "Dive" bars. Put on a life vest and sit in their indoor boat, have some drinks, and enjoy the games.
Pro-tip: try Cluck Chicken next door for some out of this world fried chicken. You can bring it back into Dive Inn.
Spenser's favorite dive bar in the city. If you are looking to have some cheap "yellow bellies" (i.e. Coors Banquet) and go someplace where the bartenders will remember your name, then this is it.
