We'll make our first stop of the day in front of the White House to take pictures and soak in some good old-fashioned democracy!

Did you know there's an art gallery right next to the White House? We sure didn't when we first moved here, but now we do and we'd love to share it with you! We'll try poking our heads into the Renwick Gallery and see what's on display for the season. They have a rotating selection of art, so every visit is a treat!

If you haven't been to D.C. before, then one of the first "musts" is a walk down the National Mall. This long, grassy national park is home to the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, and other famous federal landmarks. We'll begin our stroll at the one and only Washington Monument, where we've secured visitor passes for the afternoon. From here, we'll enter the monument and then ascend via elevator to the 500-foot level to behold sweeping, unparalleled views of the city. After soaking in those breathtaking sights, we'll we work our way west towards the Reflecting Pool and Lincoln Memorial. Once we've spent some time at our nation's tribute to Honest Abe, we'll turn around and head west on the mall towards the Capitol. During our walk, we'll plan to grab a light lunch at the Pavilion Cafe in the sculpture garden. However, please feel free to pick something up from a food truck if it is calling your name!

Join us at the end of the day and enjoy 3 bars serving creative takes on craft cocktails and frozen drinks as well as an extensive draft beer list. The kitchen offers beach-inspired bites such as carnival-style pretzels, corn dogs, and cotton candy along with options for sandwiches, tacos, and pizza, as well. Spread throughout the venue are a variety of games, including shuffleboard, skeeball and pinball, and a wide range of arcade classics.

We have group tickets to tour the Washington Monument! As small groups, we will go up to the top of the Monument to see the spectacular views of DC from a bird's eye view!
