Christine - Maid of Honor
Savannah met Christine sophomore year of college in Italian class, and they clicked instantly. Their friendship only got stronger once they realized how small the world really is — Christine’s dad and Savannah’s uncle (both named John!) went to the same tiny school in Wisconsin at the same time. And because their lives are apparently just full of coincidences, Christine and Savannah even got engaged on the same day, exactly five years apart. If that’s not meant to be, we don’t know what is.
Christine is hilarious, big-hearted, and effortlessly magnetic — the kind of person who makes everyone feel welcome the second they meet her. She’s the group’s “fun-finder” and social glue, always planning the next adventure, bringing people together, and making sure everyone feels included. If something fun is happening, Christine probably found it (and everyone is going).
One of Savannah’s favorite memories with Christine is their trip to Charleston: incredible food, late nights at a local bar with the best conversations, and showing up to the concert they traveled there for… that got cancelled. (Tragic.) But even that couldn’t ruin the trip, because Christine still somehow made it unforgettable — especially since she made sure Savannah took approximately 500 pictures along the way, whether she wanted to or not. Savannah is beyond grateful to have Christine by her side as a Maid of Honor and couldn’t imagine celebrating this day without her.
Emily - Maid of Honor
Emily and Savannah met during their last year of college in Italian class alongside Christine. Emily had just returned from a semester abroad in Italy, which Savannah (and Christine) thought was the coolest thing ever. As the three got to know each other, a strong friendship formed quickly — and Savannah and Emily felt like they’d been friends for years after only knowing each other for a short time.
Emily is the definition of a gem: thoughtful, intuitive, and endlessly supportive. She has a way of making people feel seen, heard, and completely understood — all while bringing the best energy to any room she’s in. She’s also adventurous and effortlessly fun, always diving into a new hobby, planning something exciting, or saying yes to the next experience.
One of Savannah’s favorite memories with Emily is their trip to Greece, when they were mildly stranded at a gas station — and somehow still had the time of their lives. Emily’s boyfriend Kyle was sending her the funniest texts, and the two girls laughed so hard they could barely breathe. They also discovered what might be the greatest beverage of all time: Greek Diet Coke with lemon (life-changing). Emily has a way of turning even chaotic moments into core memories. Savannah is so grateful to have Emily by her side as a Maid of Honor and can’t imagine celebrating this season without her.
Maid(s) of Honor
The three of them are truly inseparable and have been ever since college. Their friendship formed fast, but it’s the kind of bond that lasts, and they know they’ll be friends for life. Whenever they’re together, it’s nonstop laughter, endless conversation, and a great time no matter what they’re doing.
Katie - Bridesmaid
Katie is married to Savannah’s cousin Calvin, but from the moment the two met ten years ago, they clicked immediately and quickly became close. Even living across the country from each other, Savannah and Katie have always stayed connected — keeping up regularly and maintaining the kind of friendship that never fades with distance.
Katie is fun, outgoing, and effortlessly easy to be around — always down for a good time, but also someone Savannah can truly count on. Over the years, Katie has been the perfect mix of friend and sister, helping guide Savannah through tougher moments with the kind of love and support that only she can give.
Savannah’s favorite memories with Katie are honestly every time they get to be together, since it isn’t as often as they’d like. They’ve seen each other through so many phases of life — from tailgating at Whitewater, to celebrating Katie’s wedding (and now Savannah’s!), to meeting Katie’s kids and visiting her beautiful home in Wisconsin. They’ve also bonded over being teachers, sharing stories, laughs, and all the little moments that come with the job. Katie and Savannah have the kind of friendship where no matter how much time has passed, they can pick up right where they left off — proof that even though they’re family, they’re truly friends too.
Hannah - Bridesmaid
When Hannah and Savannah first met, they weren’t totally sure they were going to be friends — mostly because Spencer (our sweet Spencer) didn’t exactly give the “Ozona Crew” the most accurate or positive first impression of Savannah. Spencer, being Spencer, definitely made Savannah sound a little more intimidating than she actually is… and let’s just say the group had questions. (That story can absolutely be saved for another time.) Luckily, Hannah gave Savannah a chance anyway — and it didn’t take long for them to realize they actually got along really well.
Hannah is organized, quick-witted, and ambitious — which is probably exactly why she and Savannah click so easily. Some of Savannah’s favorite memories with Hannah are from the first summer they started hanging out: spending hours at the pool, laughing the whole time, and making the best memories at Ozona. Savannah also loved being there during such a special season of life, especially when Hannah announced her first pregnancy.
Over the years, Savannah has loved watching Hannah become an incredible mom to three beautiful boys. Savannah and Spencer absolutely love being an aunt and uncle to them, and feel so lucky to be part of their lives. Savannah is so grateful for Hannah’s friendship and is excited for it to keep growing — and she feels incredibly lucky to have Hannah by her side on the big day.
Antony - Best Man
The Origin Story: Antony and Spencer’s friendship is officially old enough to rent a car without an extra fee. Their 23-year saga began in the trenches of Mrs. Gibbs’ 4th-grade classroom. Since then, they’ve survived the awkwardness of middle school, the "glory days" of high school band, and the questionable decisions of their college years as roommates at Texas A&M.
The Man Behind the Suit: While Antony is known for being relentlessly optimistic and unwavering in everything he does, don’t let the nice-guy exterior fool you. He possesses a razor-sharp, surgical wit that he deploys when you least expect it. He’s the person you want in your corner for a deep talk about life, but also the only person Spencer trusts for a three-hour deep dive into sports stats.
Favorite Memory: The high school years. Between the "football craziness," the long bus rides for band, and the late-night sessions where they solved the world’s problems, these years cemented a bond that distance and time will never break.
The "Dad" Era: Watching Antony transition from a college roommate to a devoted father of two has been one of Spencer’s favorite chapters. Antony approaches fatherhood with the same determination he’s shown since 4th grade—he handles the hustle and lack of sleep with grace.
Wedding Day Prediction: Will deliver a speech that shows Spencer’s growth through the blunder years leaving you wishing Antony was your friend too.
Jordan - Groomsman
The Origin Story: As the older brother by five years, Jordon has been Spencer’s unintentional mentor in all things "cool" since day one. In the early 2000s, their relationship was defined by a strict hierarchy: Spencer had to wait for Jordon to get off the phone or AIM so he could do the same thing. Spencer played GTA on the PS2 but was not allowed to save or Jordon would know. Whether they were "practicing" martial arts on each other (which usually just meant Spencer getting his butt kicked) or quoting Adam Sandler movies until they couldn't breathe, Jordon was the benchmark Spencer always tried to reach.
Leveling Up: The dynamic shifted toward the end of high school when Spencer officially graduated from "annoying little brother" to "peer." A defining chapter of their friendship happened when Jordon returned home from diving school. Instead of the old "unplugged controller" trick, they spent weeks as equals, pulling legendary all-nighters to unlock every secret in the world of Skyrim. Those nights, sponsored by monster energy, doritos, and a shared obsession with 100% completion, cemented a bond that went beyond just being roommates.
The "Girl Dad" Era: These days, the man who used to choke out his little brother has met his match: his 8-year-old daughter. Watching Jordon transition into the ultimate "Girl Dad" has been one of Spencer’s favorite things to witness.
The Heart: Having Jordon as a groomsman isn't just a tradition—it’s a testament to 20+ years of brotherhood. He’s gone from the big brother who guarded the PS2 to a man Spencer admires for his strength, humor, and heart.
Wedding Day Prediction: Will be the first to say “You can do it!” at send-off.
Blade - Groomsman
The Origin Story: While most of the world was hoarding toilet paper in 2020, Spencer and Blade were busy forging a brotherhood over high-stakes disc golf bets. What started as a socially distanced summer fueled by Ozona margaritas quickly turned into a lifelong friendship. You could say their bond was "forged in the pandemic," but it was really cemented over a shared love for competition and questionable decision-making.
The Man, The Myth, The Pun: Blade is a man of simple needs: a frisbee, an adult softball league, and a never-ending supply of groan-worthy dad jokes. He is the group’s primary source of puns—most of which are so bad they’re actually impressive. Whether he’s rounding third base or hosting a game night, Blade brings a level of energy and "brotherly roasting" that keeps everyone on their toes.
The "Moonshine" Incident: Every great friendship has a moment of collective hubris. For Spencer and Blade, it was the night they decided they were biologically immune to the effects of moonshine. Narrator voice: They were not. While the details of that night remain blurry, the bond created by that shared struggle is crystal clear.
The Heart: Blade spends his free time crafting his 3 boys D1 athletes. He doesn’t care which sport as long as basketball and disc golf make the cut. Behind the jokes and the competitive streak, Blade is the kind of friend who offers unconditional loyalty. In a few short years, he’s gone from a disc golf rival to a brother who Spencer knows will always have his back.
Wedding Day Prediction: Will do the worm on the dance floor wearing less clothing than he started the night in.
Jim - Groomsman
The Origin Story: Jim and Spencer’s brotherhood has followed a unique timeline. When they first met, Spencer was an 11-year-old kid and Jim was already a grown man. While the age gap meant they weren’t fighting over toys, they found common ground in the mysterious world of LOST. It took a couple of decades and a move back to Dallas during the pandemic for the relationship to fully "level up" from mentor and kid to top-tier drinking buddies.
The Resident Expert: Jim is the "silent but deadly" member of the groomsmen. He is a man of vast knowledge who mostly prefers to listen, but don’t be fooled—he knows a little bit about everything. Spencer’s primary goal in life is to elicit a laugh from Jim, who is one of the few people capable of appreciating Spencer’s high-brow intellectual wit while simultaneously losing it over his absolute lowest-brow humor.
The Survivalists: Their bond was truly forged in the crucible of Covid-era margaritas and back-to-back seasons of Survivor. Whether they are analyzing social strategies on the screen or just surviving another Monday in Dallas, Jim has become the steady, reliable presence Spencer can always count on for a deep conversation or a perfectly timed drink.
The Heart: Jim represents a bridge between Spencer’s childhood and his adult life. He’s gone from the "adult" in the room to the brother Spencer turns to for perspective, a laugh, and a reality check. Standing at the altar with Jim isn’t just about family—it’s about celebrating a friendship that was 20 years in the making.
Wedding Day Prediction: Jim will bust out his party trick: the ability to name every single survivor winner in order.
