Our story began in the neighborhoods where we grew up, spending long summer days at the local pool, South Pacific, which quickly became everyone’s favorite hangout. Although we first crossed paths at that swimming pool in elementary school, it wasn’t until high school that we officially met. Scott was a year ahead of Lindsay, and we shared many of the same friends—friends who are still a big part of our lives today. Through swim team practices, shared rides, and plenty of inside jokes, our friendship grew, hinting at something even more meaningful that would bring us back together in the years to come.
Life took us in different directions after high school, and we lost touch for a few years. But sometimes fate has a way of reconnecting the right people. After a series of life changes, we found each other again online, and suddenly it felt like no time had passed. Our friendship rekindled effortlessly, and before long, Scott invited Lindsay as his date to a wedding back home. From that weekend forward, everything changed. Long-distance wasn’t easy, but the distance only made it clearer: we were happiest together, even if that meant making it work across state lines.
In 2012, after a year of long-distance flights, Lindsay finally made the move to Tampa, where we spent the next four years building a life together. Beach days, concerts, and late-night adventures became part of our everyday lives, and so did the joy of simply being by each other’s side. In 2016, life took us west to Denver, where we traded sandy beaches for mountain views and found new ways to adventure together. We embraced Colorado’s charm, from hiking mountain trails to exploring small mountain towns and, of course, perfecting our golf swings.
Cooking quickly became our shared passion, and our kitchen turned into a place of laughter, teamwork, and (mostly) successful dinners with friends and family. Somehow, through the twists and turns, we’ve always found joy in the little things, like planning a meal together or getting competitive on the golf course.
In June 2023, Scott nostalgically proposed to Lindsay in the blooming rose garden at the Stanley Hotel, 7 years after their first Colorado date in Estes Park thankfully sealing the deal in our next chapter in the place we’ve come to love.
A few months later, we bought our first home in Denver, taking on a full renovation ourselves—a true test of love and patience that we passed together. Our journey has always been a little unconventional, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. Now, surrounded by the people we love, we’re ready to begin our greatest adventure yet in Chacala, Mexico. Here’s to the life ahead of us, full of laughter, love, and countless more memories waiting to be made.
