Q + A

What is the wedding attire

Semi Formal/ Beach Cocktail - google it :)) suggestions: Gals - Beach Cocktail, Short/Long/Midi, Leave the heels at home.. we dancing! Gents - Linen or Chino Pants, Breezy Button-Up, Boat Shoes No Jeans, No Lawn Mowing Shoes- those are the only rules.

PESOS! PESOS! PESOS!

Chacala is a PESOS only cash town. Cost of food and drink around the town is very cheap. Consider any shopping or entertainment you will want to purchase when exchanging currency for Mexican pesos. The best exchange rates are from your banking branches at home. PVR airport does have currency exchange services, but you get better rates at your home bank. Approx Pesos for the weekend: Thursday-400 for dinner, 400 for drinks at the Zarandeado, 1500 for excursion per person, Friday: free day 1000-2000 depending on your activities , Saturday: no pesos needed for wedding, Sunday: 400-500 for dinner if we go out. Most meals are 200-400 pesos. If you want to go out to eat for more meals, please plan accordingly.

Shuttle Transportation

Lindsay's Parents are covering the expenses for shuttle services Wed and Mon. Wednesday shuttle will pick the group up from PVR airport and make one stop at La Comer grocery supermarket in Puerto Vallarta before dropping off at Chacala. A return shuttle will take guests Monday from Chacala to PVR airport.

Shuttle Stop at Grocery Store ***important***

The shuttle service will make one grocery stop at La Comer supermarket after leaving PVR Airport. Credit cards are accepted here, so save your pesos for Chacala. Plan your own groceries for all Breakfasts, Lunches, Snacks, and Alcohol. Dinners will be planned for Wednesday through Saturday. Sunday dinner will be up to you.

Which events are costs covered?

Wednesday night Arrivals and Appetizers food will be covered by Lindsay's Parents. BYOB please. Thursday night Beach Cookout depends on how much fish is caught during the charters. This evening will be on the public beach with lots of beach restaurants + bars surrounding the cookout. Guests not wanting fish will have access to local beach restaurants. All drinks and food this evening will be guest purchased. Friday evening Fiesta De Ayer will be covered by Scott's Parents. Dinner + Wine + Beer will be provided. Saturday evening The Big Day will have Drinks + Appetizers + Dinner covered. Sunday evening Recovery Day we will play by ear depending on how everyone is feeling.

Montezuma's Revenge ***Important***

No, you can’t drink the tap water in Chacala—unless you want a firsthand experience of Montezuma’s Revenge. Stick to bottled or purified water, even for brushing your teeth. If you accidentally sip tap water, don’t panic—just have some anti-diarrheal meds on hand just in case. And remember, beer, tequila, and margaritas are always safe choices. Cheers to hydration, the fun way!
