Things to Do

Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park

Absolute must see. A bit over 2 hours of a drive from our venue, but worth the drive. Many options of things to see, but highly recommend Thurston Lava Tube and checking the status of active lava flows for up close viewing.

Website

South Point Park

Southernmost Point of the United States. Truly unique place, and well worth the trip south.

Mauna Kea Summit

Travel from sea level to over 13,803′ in one day. The summit of Mauna Kea is not to be missed

Kailua-Kona Town

One of our favorite towns in Hawai'i. Be sure to head down to the bay and take a walk through old town.

Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau

"Place of Refuge" . Absolutely beautiful historical Hawaiian ceremonial site. Very family friendly.

Manta Ray Snorkel/SCUBA boat trips

Many tour options leaving from Kailua-Kona. You'll head out on a boat right around sunset to swim with massive Manta Ray's. One of the most surreal experiences imaginable. We will be taking a snorkel tour the evening of October 10th (4:30PM Snorkelers only boat) with the following company if you would like to join us.

Hawaii Tropical Botanic Garden

A relaxing stroll through an absolutely beautiful botanic garden on the cliffs above the ocean North of Hilo.

Akaka Falls State Park

One of our favorite waterfalls on the Big Island

Captain Cook Monument

Kayak across Kealakekua Bay (there is a hiking trail option as well) to some the the Big Islands best snorkeling. Many of you have heard Sean's story of swimming with dolphins, this is the place to get that opportunity as there is a resident pod year round.
