Our Wedding

Selena and Trevor’s  story began in the most unexpected place—at a local bar in Connecticut, where he was stationed during his service in the Navy. Selena worked at the local grocery store as a pharmacy tech. Although they passed each other all summer long, they never spoke a single word. It wasn’t until he finally worked up the courage to say hello that things truly began—only to be met with Selena’s signature sass, which admittedly scared him a little. Fate stepped in when they later found each other online, quickly realizing how much they had in common. They began spending time together around town, at the same familiar bar where it all started, and talking for hours about shared music, values, and dreams. Their first official date was at the breathtaking Van Gogh Museum, a moment that set the tone for the adventure their relationship would become. Soon after, Trevor relocated to Washington where he continued his service. Even with miles between them and no immediate plan to reunite, they stayed close, talking through long days and longer drives when he eventually left the Navy and made a two-and-a-half-week journey back east, stopping to visit loved ones along the way.Not long after, they saved up, planned, and moved into their first apartment together just one town over. Ready for a new chapter less than a year later, they took a leap of faith and moved to South Dakota, where life quickly filled with new jobs, new experiences, a new kitten—and, soon enough, an engagement.What began as a silent summer and a brave hello grew into a partnership built on laughter, resilience, shared adventures, and the belief that sometimes the most meaningful journeys start when you least expect them.

This is the 1# attraction in the city for a reason. You'll get waterfalls, walking paths, and scenic overlooks all in one place. It's beautiful at sunset/ nighttime when the falls are lit up. Definitely a must see!

Falls Park

This is a beautiful scenic outdoor gallery with 50+ rotating sculptures scattered throughout downtown. It changes every year, so there is always new things to see. It is in the heart of downtown, so grab a food and drink while you walk and see everything they have to offer!

SculptureWalk | Sioux Falls

This is a mix of art museum, science center, and theater. weather its raining outside or you like a little bit of history and something interactive this place has a bunch of awesome things to see!

Washington Pavilion

Trevor and mine personal favorite. Pretty authentic Irish pub. nothing fancy but such great food!

Blarney Stone Pub - Sioux Falls

Never been here but heard many good things. Big menu and nice late-night vibes. Great groups having a fun time or just looking for a bite to eat!

Wileys Bar

If you're looking for a nicer, fancy dinner this is the place to go. Overlooking the Big Sioux River and Falls park, the atmosphere isn't the only thing you can look forward to. Premium steaks, seafood, and craft cocktails.

Ironwood Steakhouse

Named one of the best cocktail spots in downtown. More upscale, with creative drinks great for dates or pregame. Close to other awesome bars as well!
