Serena and I met in the year of 2014. I was graduating high school and she was a couple years younger than I. We met at the state high school trap shooting tournament. I never would have thought going to Alexandria that day that I would meet my wife.

Serena was on one side of the property and my team and I were on the complete opposite. I had noticed her earlier in the day, but didn't have the courage to say anything at that point. After everyone was done shooting they had the awards banquet. As my team and I headed into the building Serena's team had entered the room first, but she was holding the door as we all walked in. I noticed she was the one holding the door and had said "hey".. but that was the only thing that would come out. The banquet went on. Her team and mine sat next to each other prompting conversation. By the time we were leaving I had finally asked her for her snapchat. That was the thing my senior year. It wasn't phone numbers anymore it was snapchat that people were after.

We talked for awhile after the state tournament but I was going into college and she was still in high school. So we decided to go our separate ways. We talked here and there for a couple year. Finally after two years we got back in touch fully. When we started talking again she was playing hard to get. Always saying she was "too busy" to hangout with me. I finally figured out how to make it work and decided to just head up! That first weekend we went on trail rides and had a blast! We then started hanging out a lot more!! Everything happened very quickly after that. We started dating and 3 months in I was forced to find a new place to live in 20 days. I decided I would go out on a limb and move north of the cities to be closer to her.

After only a couple months of living up Isanti, Serena was basically living with me. She started taking over my closet and I knew then there was no going back! I've never regretted it since!

My first summer in Isanti I found a job at a local race track every Friday night. It started with me going alone, but pretty soon she started going with me. 4.5 years later we go every weekend in the summer. Our lives have been very busy the entire duration of our relationship. We are on the run all the time. But there is no one else I'd rather travel with and take on all these adventures with! I have the best life partner by my side!
