Ohio Party!!!

We're so excited to continue our wedding celebration with everyone at the Ohio party this Saturday, 11/23! We'll have finger foods, snacks, and drinks available for you to enjoy. Dress casually, but please be prepared for the weather, as we'll have both indoor and outdoor spaces. It's all about keeping the celebration going, and we can’t wait to have fun with all of you!

Our Wedding

It all started on a boat. Seth invited some friends out to the lake, and Emily being the Minnesota girl she is, couldn’t resist the opportunity to be on the water her first summer in Ohio. From there, we got to know each other more through Seth working on the SPO houses, one of which Emily lived her first year as a missionary with SPO. All of her roommates picked up on the chemistry, but nothing happened until Emily’s 2 years of missionary work was complete. We remained friends during this time and enjoyed seeing each other at events and gatherings. At a Kenny Chesney concert with friends in August of 2022, Seth knew that he wanted to spend more time with Emily and decided to ask her on a date. Their first date was a rainy evening at the West Jeff Ox Roast, a local town tradition held during Labor Day weekend. Many more dates followed from boat rides, breweries, and trips with family and friends. A little over a year and a half of dating, Seth finally asked Emily to marry him. The proposal happened in front of cows, and Seth managed to almost pull off a complete ‘Huffman surprise’. Ask us for the story!

How We Met

Our Story

Emily’s younger sister. Some people call us twins, but we argue we are quite the opposite! One thing we agree on, is the importance of having a good time with people we love.

Emily’s ‘boo thing’. We met 4 years ago and instantly became friends! You’ll typically find us dancing or singing Taylor Swift together. Our dreams include getting lip tats and one day working on a homestead together.

Karoline Spartz

Emily’s first friend in Ohio and former teammate. Some people call us Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, once you see us together you’ll understand why.

Emily’s Ohio soul sister and former teammate. We bond over good music, cold beer, and being outdoors. This is a woman of the people! 

Abigail Huff

Emily’s college friend. Although our friendship wasn’t instant, it became deep throughout college! We share our love through sarcasm and animal memes/videos. Shes the meme queen.

Emily’s forever friend. We’ve been friends since I can remember! We navigated our awkward middle school days through high school and big decisions together. Many memories made during ‘whips’ around town.

The middle Huffman brother, Ian and Seth share a common bond with many things, including football, hockey, handy work, and quality time with friends.

Adam is the oldest of the Huffman boys and shares a lot with his brothers including the love of boats and water, country music, football, and family time. Adam is an awesome father of five and a great role model whom Seth looks up to.

Jake is Seth’s brother- in-law and an awesome Texas man! He has shared many of is home-cooked meals, nights out on the town, and a lot of great memories with the Huffman family over the years.

John Packer is a man of grit, perseverance, and one of Seth’s most influential friends in college. They’ve shared many stages of life together through missionary work and property renovation, which has challenged and strengthened their friendship.

Pat is Seth’s friend from college who has made some daring decisions and memories with Seth over the years. From late night trips for food and spontaneous trips to get out of the house, Pat has always kept Seth on a wild ride while sharing many moments of freedom together.

Jake is Emily’s oldest brother who is fun to hang around. He enjoys the outdoors, boating, fishing, and snowmobiling. Jake has a lot of life to share with others when he sits down with a cold beer.

MSP and Sioux Falls are the closest major airports for those flying from out of state. Both are about a 2 hour drive from Sleepy Eye.   We have reserved some rooms at hotels nearby the venue, so we recommend trying the places listed below for a good rate.
