October 10th 2022 we are celebrating determination, hard work, and perseverance between two people; Shaina and Steve. This is a wedding about never quitting, about being there for one another, about loving each other when the chips are down. This is a wedding about leaning in when life gets difficult. This is a wedding about leaning on each other when it's unbearable.

Years of long distance? Check.

During a global pandemic? double check.

During personal upheaval, loss, pain and injury? checkity check check CHECK.

When the going gets tough, the tough get going. When Shaina and Steve met with adversity, they did not throw in the towel. When met with resistance from what seemed like the entire world, they continued to thrive.

They circumnavigated Iceland in six days. They climbed one of the hardest sections of the Appalachian trail during a hurricane. They hiked the entirety of Isle Royale National Park.

What's even more impressive is the family that Steve, Shaina and Preslee built. Hundreds of goodnights over FaceTime, dozens of hugs at hello and "see you later", and one or two tears when hearing "Steve Daddy" all show how important this matrimony is not just to the adults in the room. We believe Steve and Shaina's love for one another gives Preslee the greatest joy (besides Barbies).

This is a wedding about taking that square peg and smashing it through the circle hole. Maybe the cards were stacked against them. Maybe the odds weren't in their favor. But they did it, and on the other side, with everything on fire around them, they love each other more than ever.

This is a wedding to celebrate that.
