Hi everyone! I’m Serena and I am a med student at William Carey University. I am so lucky to be Sham’s Maid of Honor. Sham & I met one fateful day during sorority recruitment and the rest is history! Since then we have been roommates, best friends and most importantly, sisters. I never thought that I would meet someone who I relate to as deeply as I do to Sham. (Gabe has to brace himself when we are together.) I’m so excited for these two to get married!
Dylan Chan - Best Man
Gabe and I started to become good friends freshman year in high school when we had choir and geometry together. In geometry we always goofed around and would throw ripped up eraser bits at each other until we would get kicked out of class. This would continue until senior year of high school where we had home ec together and our teacher would put us in timeout as seniors in high school for messing around too much. One of my favorite memories was Gabe convincing me to buy a 4 XL shirt with him to wear as a long dress.
Aida Mushell - Sister of Honor
Hey! I'm Aida and I am a 3rd year Biology student at UC Davis. I am Sham's cousin and basically her little sister (hence the sister of honor title). Growing with Sham was so fun and I can't believe I get to watch her get married this year. I'm so glad Sham found the perfect man for her and I am excited to welcome Gabe to the Mushell fam!
Micah Wong - Brother of Honor
I am 23 and I am Gabe’s younger brother. I currently work for a defense company as an engineer. I love traveling for food. My goats are LeBron James, One Piece, Lus Garden, and naps. One of my favorite memories was when we went to Virginia, and me and my brother stayed up till 2 am researching what we were going to eat for the rest of the trip. I am so excited for Sham and Gabe to get married and have Sham’s favorite Chinese food not be Panda Express.
Amanda Rist - Bridesmaid
I’m Amanda! I met Sham in 2017 during sorority recruitment! I was paired up with Sham to give her a tour of our sorority house and she immediately became one of the funniest and most loving people I knew! Her bright and bubbly personality made me love her instantly and we became great friends! Shortly after that she became my sorority little and the rest is history! She’s been such a sweet friend to have in life and it’s been so fun to watch her relationship with Gabe grow into what it is today. I had the honor of having Sham as one of my bridesmaids last August and I can’t wait to stand by her side this year.
Jeremy Wong - Brother of Honor
As Gabe’s oldest brother, I went through all the firsts before Gabe did. From learning to drive, to taking SAT prep classes, to convincing Mom and Dad to extend our curfew.
I ran, so he could walk.
There are obviously a lot of memories that Gabe and I shared together. But my favorite memory was getting to play volleyball on the same team my senior year of high school. It was very special getting to compete and share the court with him that entire season.
I’m so excited for Gabe and Sham to get married! We are looking forward to welcoming a sister into the family!
Alex Meng - Bridesmaid
HELLO, I’m Alex. I’m the world’s only YouTube Premium subscriber, & enjoy doing things with my hands! I like to rock climb, build keyboards & miniatures, & recently picked up pickleball. I’m an engineer for a video game company, & as you can imagine, also enjoy playing games (of all types!).
Shamrina & I met in middle school, & we became fast best friends. She was (and still IS) the sweetest & funniest person I’ve ever met! But of course I’d say that. We were the only people who found each other funny at the time. It always feels like we’re those goofy kids again anytime we see each other, & she continues to be a wonderful source of love in my life.
As such, I’m so happy & excited to celebrate Shamrina & Gabe’s love! I could cry! I probably, likely, very much, WILL cry! So…see you there :)
Austin Fong - Groomsman
Proud member of the Florida Bators. I first unofficially met Gabriel in the 6th grade randomly playing pick up basketball after school and destroying him and his friends. Fast forward a year and I was his table partner in science class and we officially meet. The first thing I thought to myself was dang that’s a big Mohawk, oh I know this kid I destroyed him in basketball. The rest was history. I know even if we are 300 miles apart I can confide in him about anything and it would be like we were long lost brothers. I am happy for Gabriel and Sham. I'm looking forward to their future and the rest of their lives.
Macey Crowe - Bridesmaid
Hi! My name is Macey Crowe and I am an interior designer. I met Sham in college through our sorority. Since then, we’ve been best friends, roommates, and, in school, we were pretty much attached at the hip. I’ve known her and Gabe since the beginning and am so excited to celebrate such a perfect couple!
James Frack - Groomsman
I am from the Sacramento area and moved to San Diego for college in 2017 and never left. I spend my days crunching numbers as an accountant, the most thrilling job anyone can have (lol). Gabe and I met when he joined our fraternity freshman year, but we didn’t spend a lot of time together until our junior year of college. The start of our friendship was very unique to say the least, but it has evolved into a long lasting bond. Of all the memories together, my favorites have to be our TV/movie nights followed by the debriefs as we brushed our teeth. If the episode or movie was good we could find ourselves just hanging out going over it well after we were ready for bed. I’m so excited to see Gabe and Sham get married in October, and how their next chapter as the Wong’s unfolds.
Brianna Rist - Bridesmaid
Hi i’m Bri! I had the pleasure of meeting Sham in Gamma Phi Beta, but it was a special scenario. She was my actual sister (Amanda)‘s little, which technically made her my sister too. Then we officially became “sisters” when I joined GPHI my freshmen year, so just a whole lot of sister-ception. She was always putting a smile on my face and I could always count on her to chat when i needed guidance, rub my head when I was feeling down, or just be an energizer bunny with me when we couldn’t sit still! I met Gabe through Sham when they were ‘just friends’ and always thought he was so genuine, kind, and always knew there was something special about those two. It’s been a joy watching them both grow individually and now together, and I am so honored to get to experience this special day with them.
Zaid Murrieta - Groomsman
Zaid Murrieta (6’1, 180), I currently live in Phoenix, AZ and am an IT analyst for the City of Phoenix. I met Gabe freshman year of college when we were both rushing the same fraternity. From there we became great friends. I love Gabe’s cooking, his love for life, going on hikes and random adventures with him. One of my favorite memories with Gabe is when we had an impromptu Christmas card photoshoot at sunset cliffs where we had Santa hats, Christmas pajamas and tried our best to be professional models.
