We are&nbsp;so happy that our family and dearest friends may be joining us in one of our happiest spots. &nbsp;Isla Mujeres, Mexico is a small island just a short ferry ride from Cancun, Mexico that we have traveled to several times. &nbsp;It is the place that&nbsp;&nbsp;JD&nbsp;popped the question and Shanna cried...and cried...&nbsp;&nbsp;We love the island and hope that you do too!

The thing that we love about Isla is that you are not limited to staying at the resort.&nbsp; The fun of the island is that it is so small that you can take a golf cart around the island to explore.&nbsp;&nbsp; You can stop in and enjoy a drink in a beach club on the south side of the island or simply walk to the famous "Hidalgo Street" for restaurants and nightlife&nbsp;close to the hotel.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Ixchel Beach Hotel

Guests will need to fly into the Cancun International Airport.&nbsp; From the airport, you will need transportation to the&nbsp; Gran Puerto Cancun&nbsp;(Ultramar) Ferry dock in Puerto Juarez.&nbsp; (approximately 30 minutes drive).&nbsp; From there you will take the ferry to Isla Mujeres which takes approximately 20-25 minutes.&nbsp;&nbsp; Once you arrive in Isla, you are walking distance to the Ixchel Beach Hotel or most properties on the North Beach including Privilege Aluxes.&nbsp; (9 minute walk) If you would&nbsp;prefer to&nbsp;take a taxi, there&nbsp;is a taxi stand right out front.&nbsp;

We have set up a website where you can book your transfers through a trusted company recommended by our wedding planner.&nbsp; 

Go to the website link provided below&nbsp;to&nbsp;book round trip transportation from the airport to the ferry dock, ferry tickets round trip and transportation from the ferry back to the airport.&nbsp;&nbsp; CARM&nbsp;Tours and Transfers will&nbsp;make the arrangements, send confirmation and invoice you individually for your transfers.&nbsp; 



You are welcome to book your own transfer or just "pay as you go" and pay for a shuttle in front of the airport and buy a ferry ticket.&nbsp;&nbsp;We recommend going through the transfer company to make things simple and the cost is about the same.

CARM TOURS & TRANSFERS

As many of you know, the island is small enough that most tourists rent a golf cart and take a day or 2 to explore the island.&nbsp;&nbsp; Ixchel, Privelege Aluxes and other properties in the North Beach are close to the beach, ferry stop and shops and restaurants on Hildago that you don't really need a golf cart every day.&nbsp; Snorkeling trips, beach chairs, coffee shops and cafes are walking distance.&nbsp;&nbsp;We normally do at least one day of golf cart explore the island.&nbsp; 

We have rented a group of golf carts for guests to use on Friday, February 15th from 9am - 6pm.&nbsp;&nbsp; This will be no charge to you.&nbsp;&nbsp;If you can, &nbsp;team up with&nbsp;another couple or friends as we have enough golf carts assuming 3-4 passengers on each cart. (Golf carts in large bookings are hard to come by)&nbsp; We are working to make an arrangement to have the golf carts all parked out in front of Ixchel, if we can't secure that, you may have to walk down to Joaquins and give them your license and get a cart under the Granger Cate&nbsp;Wedding&nbsp;golf cart order. &nbsp;We will keep you posted on that but point is, golf cart is on us that day so no need to rent one!

Finally, if you would like to rent a golf cart longer or on other days, feel free to go to Joaquins or any other golf cart company in the area. The hotel can also point you to companies.&nbsp;&nbsp;We have found the best success in securing a cart is before 10am as in the afternoon they can be booked. &nbsp;If you are the type to secure things early feel free to get a reservation for a cart through our travel agent's concierge service by contacting Julia at Julia@everythingisla.com.

If you are interested in a snorkeling trip, it is easy to walk down Hidalgo and go up to a shop that offers that and sign up for a day later in your trip.&nbsp; However, if you would prefer to go ahead and set up something ahead of your trip, you can set it up with Julia at Julia@everythingisla.com.Julia can also set up a sport fishing boat or a scuba trip.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Scuba is offered at all of the snorkeling tour guide shops along Hidalgo but if you want a trusted recommendation, you can&nbsp;book with Julia at Everything Isla, ask the hotel concierge&nbsp;or even ask a local scuba shop if they know of a good one to go to in Isla Mujeres.
