In June of 2018 Samantha was at Brown Ledge Camp starting her fourth summer as a counselor and Shannon had just read a Facebook post about open positions. The next day Shannon got on a plane to Vermont where Samantha would find her at the airport and take her to Brown Ledge. Neither of us knew it was going to be the start to the rest of our lives together. That summer we spent everyday together, our relationship grew quickly and we didn't want it to end.
After camp ended we were separated by over 5,000 miles. Luckily we were able to travel to visit each other a few times and spent plenty of time on FaceTime. By Christmas of 2018 we both knew that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. We had another year of long-distance, but spent 4 months together for the summer in 2019 which made it a lot easier.
Fast forward to 2020. Samantha finally got her visa sorted and was able to move to America. And we can't wait to get married in September!!!
