Please Read - Road Closures
Due to the Lasalle Causeway Closure travel to the Great Hall at Fort Henry will be impacted. As an alternative to the Lasalle Causeway if you’re travelling from downtown Kingston, we recommend taking either the newly constructed Waaban Crossing, or Highway 401, to access Highway 15 which leads directly to the venue. Please be advised that there is likely to be additional traffic on these alternate routes due to the Causeway closure so please plan your transportation time accordingly. Google maps should redirect to either of these routes.
What time should i arrive?
The ceremony will begin at 4:00 p.m. We ask that you arrive at least 20 minutes prior to allow time for parking and seating. Upon arrival enter through the front doors of the Great Hall and continue through the reception space towards the patio. Note: the fastest route from downtown Kingston to Fort Henry is closed due to construction, travel time will now be around 15 minutes. Please plan accordingly.
Are the ceremony and reception taking place at the same location?
Yes, both the ceremony and reception will take place at the Great Hall at Fort Henry. Upon arrival to the parking lot the Great Hall venue is to the left, you do not need to enter the actual Fort to access the venue.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
The wedding ceremony will take place outside on the patio, weather permitting. Cocktail hour will be indoors and outdoors on the patio, followed by dinner indoors. The patio will be accessible throughout the night for fresh air!
Will there be an open bar?
Yes, drinks are on us! However, there is a limit and IF that is reached bar will change to a cash bar (card accepted). Please enjoy the night, plenty of ubers/taxi's are available in the area.
will there be transportation to the venue?
Update - there will be no transportation to or from the venue but plenty of ubers and taxi's are available, venue is close but due to construction in the area there may be delays so plan accordingly.
Is there parking onsite? can I leave my car overnight?
There is free onsite parking right beside the Great Hall (wedding venue), with plenty of spots available. The venue allows cars to stay parked overnight.
Do you have a wedding registry?
The most important thing to us is that you are able to celebrate with us on our wedding day. However, if you wish to give a gift, we will gratefully accept a cash gift towards our honeymoon and home renovations!
Are children invited?
While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time so you can spend the night celebrating with us!
What should I wear? is there a dress code?
The dress code is cocktail. We are so excited to see our guests dressed up for our big day!
What will the weather be like?
Kingston is known as the windy city, so prepare for some wind during the ceremony, with more moderate May temperatures, ladies bring a shawl.
