We first met on October 17th, 2018 in a church parking lot after a Wednesday night youth service. Feel free to ask for the whole story, but just remember I (Shannon) tell it wayyyy better.

After Ryan stalked me for a week and I decided to finallyyyy give him the time of day, we went on our first official date to Fright Fest at Six Flags.

On Halloween night at the same church where we first met, Ryan asked me to be his girlfriend!

Then he decided to break up with me the very next morning, over SNAPCHAT, while I was sitting in AP Calculus of all classes. Then messages me back again to RE-ask me out because "There's not always 31 days in a month, but there's always a 1st". It was so cheesy and I wanted to murder him. So of course, I left him on READ. Somehow a variation of his friends and my friends managed to convince me that it was sweet and that I should just take him back. And that, ladies and gentleman, is why November 1st has been our anniversary date.

Being high school sweethearts we've gotten to experience so many things together- like a Sadie's dance (or 3).

And despite all of our ups and downs, wrong turns and everything else- we always made our way back to each other no matter what. At 15 and 16, we had no idea what we had found with each other, but we both knew it was something worth fighting for. Once we had both graduated and started living together, he decided that he just couldn't live without me. After 3 and half years that felt like a lifetime, the only man I have ever loved asked me to be his wife. In that moment I felt the same as I did when I was 16 being asked to be his girlfriend, and I gave the most ferocious head nod I think I've ever given. Borderline whiplash worthy. We are so excited and overjoyed for this new chapter we get to create together. Thank you all for celebrating our love with us!
