The date when Shannon and Mac crossed paths for the very first time! Following her friend Caitlin's birthday party, Shannon decided to pop into the bar next door before heading home. This just so happened to be the bar where Mac and his roommates were having a casual night of brews. After taking a tequila shot (or 2) together, Shmac was born. The most special part of our meeting story and why we like to call it fate is...the bar was Vaughan's pub!

Our official first date was going great, but what really knocked it out of the park was running into Cubs pitcher Cole Hamels at the end of the night!

Our first concert together! Third Eye Blind at Northerly Island. Our Third Eye fandom has only increased since then!

Our first Cubs game together! Going to Wrigley continues to be one of our favorite things!

Our first spring break together! And...not according to plan. With COVID, our Mexico trip had to be cancelled, but we made the best of it while quarantined in Chicago!

Our first Kelly fam vacay together at Lake Wawasee, IN! Being on the lake with pops (Shannon's dad) driving the boat has always been a core part of our fam. We can't wait for many more lake memories to come!

Our engagement day! While visiting Shannon's parents in FL, Mac took Shannon out for a date night. After a delicious meal at SeaGuini in Clearwater, Mac surprised Shannon with a walk along Sand Key Beach. With a storm rolling in, Mac asked a "random" photographer to quickly take our photo. He then got down on one knee and popped the question (while the not so random photographer continued to snap shots...thank you, Jane Donovan Photography)!
