After nearly four years together, we took a trip to Switzerland to visit our friends Madeline and Cody. Towards the end of an incredible week spent traveling all over Switzerland and some of Italy, we were in the area of Lauterbrunnen at Trummelbach Falls. The falls are inside of a mountain, so there is an elevator and series of stairs weaving in and out of the mountain to see the waterfalls. When we made it to the very top, Josue stopped and spent an extra long time putting his camera away in his backpack as I was staring at the waterfall. He said my name, and when I turned around he was down on one knee with a ring. The rushing water was loud, but he managed to shout "will you marry me?" above the noise. It was beautiful, I cried a lot, and just like that we were engaged!

We celebrated afterwards with bratwurst and a dessert waffle, and met up with our friends that night in Zermatt, where Madeline had prepared a bottle of champagne "just in case." :)

We've both known our love was a forever kind of thing for a very long time, but we're thrilled to make it official. We are excited to be married and spend a lifetime together!
