HOW WE MET In the Fall of 2020 we casually met one day while out in front of Shelly's moms house. Shelly, Debbie, and her cousin Christine were cleaning out a storage shed and placed many items out on the lawn for free. Darrin and his friend Ray stopped by to ask about the items and the rest was history. FAMILY HISTORY We quickly learned that our parents went to school together in Richmond. Both families moved to Martinez and Darrin grew up only a few houses down from Shelly. MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN The day before Shelly met Darrin, she visited her dad at the cemetary. She asked him to find her someone to settel down with now that she had moved back to California. He must have listened! We met the next day. ROAD TRIP During the summer of 2024, Darrin, Shelly, and Bri took a 40 day road trip visiting New Orleans, Disney World, Virginia, Washington DC, New York City, Tennesee, Illinois, and many other towns. We played games, sang songs, and took lots of pictures. It was a bit nerve-wracking as we started off on our journey. We didn't know if we would make it that long spending so much time together? Suprisingly we did. Bri actually said she was going to miss us once we got home because we were pretty cool to hang out with. :) THE PROPOSAL On 22 February 2025, Darrin got down on one knee overlooking Emerald Bay in Lake Tahoe. Brianna and her friend Emery were off in the distance taking pictures from behind a tree. It meant a lot to us that Bri wanted to be there. We both discovered that we are similarly patient, compassionate for others, and open minded to other cultures and lifestyles. We have the same family values and support one another. Together through all our life experiences, we have faced quite a bit. We look forward to our future and count our blessings every day!

Reno International Airport is about 1 hour from South Lake Tahoe through curvy highways.&nbsp; Sacramento International Airport is about a 2 hour drive on highway and windy mountain roads.

Once you have reached South Lake Tahoe, most hotels and rental homes are about 20 minutes away from our wedding venue. There is limited Uber and taxi services in Lake Tahoe but they do have them.

Rental Cars

There are many options when utilizing Hotels.com, Booking.com, VRBO, and Airbnb. It's worth comparing the booking apps to the hotel's direct website, as you can sometimes get a better deal booking directly.
