Shrestha and I met in the summer of 2018, after a lengthy courtship over messaging over our shared dating app. I lived in the country, and she lived an hour away in Binghamton. Our long-distance romance soon blossomed into shared living as the pandemic raged and I insisted she bunker down with me until things were safe. In that time we became inseparable, and our relationship grew stronger. In 2021, she had an opportunity to go to the D.C. metropolitan area and work as a scientist, I leaped at the chance to accompany her. Adapting to city life, Shrestha and I go to the cinema regularly, enjoy trying new foods and restaurants (my stomach has slowly become more accepting of the spice life of Indian dishes), and remember to take plenty of time for ourselves to relish in each other’s company. In 2022, I proposed, certain I needed her in my life. After a court ceremony to get the ball rolling, we now excitedly anticipate seeing all our loved ones for the wedding at the Major’s Inn in my hometown of Gilbertsville, New York. Looking forward to tying the knot in front of all of you in June 2024!

In June of 2018, when I first met Dan at a quaint little coffee shop in Binghamton, NY, followed by numerous messages that were exchanged over a few weeks, I was more than delightfully surprised by the person sitting across the table from me. I have come to realize over the years that they don’t make many like him. There was an instant connection which naturally led us to spending more time with each other and loving every moment of it. The lockdown of late 2019 allowed us to experience a world-changing event together and laid foundation for our love and understanding. We started becoming an integral part of each other’s lives. By mid-2021, once I wrapped up my seven-year journey in Binghamton it was time for us to explore new grounds in Maryland. Our organic relationship took its next steps, discovering life in all its exceptionalities, together. I can’t wait to go on many more coffee dates with Dan and continue the story we started six years ago. Now, I look forward to celebrating and cherishing this brilliant and amazing, forever date of mine, with all our friends and family.
