The ceremony will take place the evening of Saturday, May 25, 2024. We will be hosting the Welcome Reception Friday evening, May 24 at the Alyeska Resort - if you are in town, please join us!

Ted Stevens International Airport, Anchorage, Alaska

The Alyeska Resort is located in Girdwood, Alaska, which is approximately a one-hour drive from Anchorage. Renting a car is the best way to get from the airport to Alyeska. However, we are planning to coordinate a shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel the day before and day of the wedding - as you book your flights, please let us know your itinerary so we can work with you to coordinate transportation. Please note: there is no public transportation between Girdwood and Anchorage, and an Uber/Lyft/Taxi will likely be unwilling to drive that distance.

Good question! And unfortunately, we don't have any great answers. Generally, May is a sunny time in Anchorage with temperatures in the 50s. However, the weather in Alaska is unpredictable and fast-changing - so please plan for rain and colder temperatures just in case!

Yes, we are! Please plan to wear a coat, warm boots, and perhaps a hat and mittens for the ceremony, which - weather permitting - will be just outside of the lodge at the top of the mountain.

No! No hiking of any kind necessary. There is a tram that will take you directly from the hotel to the ceremony site.

Yes and no - there will be snow where the ceremony is taking place, but the grounds around the hotel and everywhere else you will travel in Alaska will be snow-free.

Yes! The reception will take place in the hotel, so feel free to change during the cocktail hour. If you are not staying in the hotel but would like to have a change of shoes or other clothes available, please let me know and we will make arrangements for a place to hold your items during the ceremony and to change prior to the reception.

Possibly! The lights are out year around, but are more difficult to see in the summertime because the sun stays out so late.
