Our Story...

We’ve been together for eight and a half years—almost nine and a half by the time we say “I do”—but in so many ways, it feels like forever, in the best way possible.

Sometime in the beginning of our sophomore year of high school, Sierra Snapchatted Lance (she may or may not have started a streak just to secure a winter dance date). We finally went on our first official outing—a triple date to Zombie Farms, a haunted maze. Lance didn’t admit it until much later, but he was absolutely terrified the whole time. Haunted houses have never been his thing, but on a first date? He wasn’t about to back out. That night, between the jump scares and nervous laughter, something real began.

It all officially began the day before Sierra’s 16th birthday. On November 8, 2016, Lance asked Sierra to be his girlfriend. When she said yes, he followed it up with, “Are you sure? Because this is forever.” What 16-year-old says that? But now, looking back, it feels like one of the most honest, beautiful moments of our story. Somehow, even as teenagers, he just knew.

Throughout high school, one of the biggest foundations of our relationship was our shared faith. We were both deeply involved in our church youth group—serving in leadership and leading worship. Some of our favorite early memories were made at church camp and late nights at youth events, where we learned how to put God at the center of our relationship from the very beginning. Our faith shaped us as individuals and as a couple, and has carried us through every season. We know without a doubt that we are together because of His plan, and that every step—both easy and hard—has been guided by something bigger than us.

Over the years, we’ve truly grown up together. From high school dances and countless concerts to Mexican food dates, family vacations, and road trips full of dreaming about the future—our relationship has always been woven into everyday life. After high school, our paths looked a little different: Sierra went off to college while Lance stayed home to work and pursue music. We navigated long distance, made it through the unpredictability of lockdowns, and supported each other through first jobs and big life decisions.

Eventually, we each moved into our own places, learning what it meant to grow independently while still growing together. Then in 2024, we made our biggest move yet—into our first home together in a brand new city: Nashville, Tennessee

Nashville had always been part of the plan. Lance had long dreamed of living in Music City to pursue his songwriting, and Sierra always had a passion for experiencing new places and chasing what felt like possibility. That move marked a turning point. It was the beginning of the life we’d been slowly building toward since we were kids.

Of course, not every chapter has been easy. Lance’s mom passed away in 2018, and Sierra will never forget how she used to call her “Lance’s unicorn.” She said Sierra was something so rare in his life it was like she couldn’t be real—but that their love was meant to last. It’s something we carry with us always. We’ve also experienced the loss of grandparents, best friends, and endured the growing pains of early adulthood. There have been career changes, hard seasons, and plenty of moments when we were figuring things out as we went. But through it all, we’ve always shown up for each other—with love, with grace, and always with faith.

In February 2022, we welcomed Mazey, our golden retriever and the joy of our lives. She instantly became our best friend, our adventure buddy, and a big reason we’re both so excited to have kids someday. In December 2024, we added one more to the family—Toe Beans, our mischievous and lovable cat who brought just the right amount of chaos to our world.

The proposal came after a quiet, sweet moment of possibility. In June 2024, after visiting a new church together in Nashville, we spontaneously decided to go ring shopping. We left the store giddy and full of anticipation for what was next. Then, on February 19, 2025, during a rare Nashville snowstorm, Lance got down on one knee at the Percy Warner Steps. It was quiet and magical. Just the two of us in the falling snow, full of emotion and joy. We cried, laughed, and took in the weight of that moment—how far we’d come and how far we still wanted to go. That night, we celebrated at Sperry’s, a cozy old English steakhouse, and started talking about our wedding like it was finally real.

In between all of that have been the moments that shaped us: ringing in New Year’s in Surf City with Mazey racing through the sand, wandering through Portugal for a week where we somehow fell even more in love, and logging miles on the road with nothing but music and conversations about the future. We’ve built a life in the quiet in-between. A life full of laughter, patience, teamwork, and a deep kind of knowing that started young and only grew stronger with time.

From a high school haunted house date to building roots in a city we once only dreamed about, this love has always been a steady, evolving constant. Through every season, God has remained at the center—guiding us, growing us, and reminding us that we’re exactly where we’re meant to be.

And now, nearly a decade later, we are so ready to make it official.

We can’t wait to celebrate the beginning of this next chapter with all of you.
