Timing Your Arrival We need everyone to be at the Airbnb by 4:00 PM on the 6th for check-in. To pull that off, it’s best if everyone picks flights that depart on the evening of the 5th, so you land in Italy on the morning of the 6th. This buffer helps you dodge any delay dramas and ensures nobody’s racing the clock. From Florence to the Villa Once you arrive in Florence, you’ll find luggage storage spots near the train station if you need a place to stash your bags for a bit. We’ll all aim to meet up and head to the villa together.

Feel free to fill your days however you like. If you’d like to join in on a little family fun, here’s what we’ve got in mind: On the 9th, any of the guys who’d like to join Calvin for a round of golf are welcome, and any of the ladies who’d like to join Sierra for a spa day can come along and relax. In the evening, we’ll all gather at a local winery if that’s your thing. Everything’s optional and easygoing. And once Calvin and I have our full itinerary put together, we’ll post it here so you can see what we’re up to and join in on anything that you feel you’d also enjoy.

Choosing Your Airport: Florence or Rome? Florence Airport (FLR – Peretola) is the closest option, just about a 30–35 minute drive from the villa. It’s super convenient in terms of distance. However, many flights into Florence do require two stops. If you choose Rome, you’ll often find flights with just a single layover (like Atlanta) before heading straight to Italy. Getting to the Villa from Florence Whether you arrive via Florence Airport or take the train from Rome to Florence, the final leg is the same. Once you’re in Florence, you can rent a car or hop in a taxi for a scenic 30–40 minute drive out to Rignano sull’Arno. If you prefer public transport, there are nearby train stations (like Rignano sull’Arno-Reggello or Incisa Station) about a 15-minute taxi ride away.
