Bari Airport (BRI) – This is the closest airport to Matera. From Bari, you can reach Matera independently or take a shuttle bus (bookable via Pugliairbus).

Naples Airport (NAP) – Another option is to fly into Naples and take a direct bus to Matera.

✈ Flights from Oslo: Norwegian offers direct flights from Oslo to Bari, but they start the day after the wedding, so they will likely only be useful for your return journey.

By Train

Matera can be reached by train, but the combined train + bus tickets will only be available from April as part of Trenitalia’s summer offer.

By Bus

Several companies operate direct buses from both Bari and Naples to Matera.
