We have not stayed here, but the location is unbeatable for those who want to be close the action. It is a 5-10m walk to downtown, or the Barton Springs pool. The restaurant is also right on Lady Bird Lake.

We have stayed here, the pool is very lively and good for families. The Fairmont is located in the historic Rainey District. Lots of excellent restaurants and walking distance to the East Cesar Chavez district, an area where old Austin meets new Austin - lots of breweries and art!

Also within walking distance to Barton Springs (~1.5km along the river path). Very close the live music action.

We have booked here many times and the properties are always lovely.
