Isn't it crazy how we all just wander around this world until one day we bump into someone that changes everything? A displaced New Yorker and a lost Long Islander met at a bar in Manhattan one summer.

We met on Hinge, drank beer, and laughed for an entire hour together. Before we knew it, we were doing long distance from New York to Boston. And even then, time went by so fast! From one weekend to the next our weekends together got more adventurous - we went to concerts, hiked, skied, explored Boston breweries, lakes, and fields. As time went on, we fell more deeply for one another and we can both say we'd never been so happy.

When the pandemic hit in 2020, Lucas decided to come stay in Boston with Sivan for one week... three months later, he still hadn't returned home to New York. It seems our trial by fire of living together was a success! In July of 2020, Sivan moved in with Lucas in Forest Hills. Hours of remote schooling and working occured, cooking and baking experiments were attempted and failed, and most importantly, much fun was had.

In September of 2021, we bought a new apartment together - just a few minutes away from our old one in Forest Hills! Many hours of planning for our home-renovation projects occured, as well as many hours sitting on our new beautiful balcony enjoying the evenings together. February 2022 rolled around before we knew it and Lucas suggested we go on a snowy hike one Saturday. We drove up to Bear Mountain and proceeded to hike with our snow spikes all the way up the mountain. As we sat there at the top of the mountain somehow sweaty and freezing, Lucas dropped down to one knee and proposed. One of the happiest days so far was agreeing to spend the rest of our lives together.
