This cute waterfall dam is a little prized gem at the end of your lovely walk through Beacon’s downtown. It’s small but beautiful to admire for a few minutes at the end of tour trip, or on your way to one of the many Beacon restaurants. This quaint spot may be easy to miss, so we’re including it as a heads up. It’s a great way to take a moment to refresh your mind.

Pre COVID-19, they used to teach glass-blowing classes and make ornaments with visitors. As of 2022, they haven’t begun doing either again yet, but hopefully, they will soon. For now, visit the studio and store to watch the professionals and pick up something beautiful.

Manza Family Farm was started in 1979. The farm began as a place to board horses and grow produce for a farm stand. The Farm opened to the public around 1985 for U-Pick pumpkins and hayrides, a tradition which still continues today.
Today the nursery is on 20 acres which consists of many top quality trees, shrubs, and perennials sold in containers or balled and burlap. In addition, the farm grows 40 acres of trees to help supply the nursery and U-Pick pumpkins are still grown today as part of the farms traditional Fall Festival.

Almost five years ago, Co-Founders Jason Synan, Mike Renganeschi, and John-Anthony Gargiulo took the area by storm when they started perfecting the art of sour IPAs. Demand exploded with lines often extending the length of the brewery’s parking lot on a Saturday morning just to nab that week’s release. And the incredible beer doesn’t say anything about the brewery’s awesome art.
With one of the prettiest views of any restaurant in the Hudson Valley — it overlooks a waterfall from floor-to-ceiling windows — the menu here is worth a stop all on its own. Standouts include three different types of macaroni and cheese (including one with spicy lobster), gnocchi with grilled corn and heirloom tomato, and a large selection of Pat Frieda steaks. There is also more casual barbecue fare served at Smoke on the Water, The Roundhouse Hotel’s other on-site restaurant.
