Skylar & Cole

On September 15, 2025, we got engaged — and immediately after, we started planning our wedding. We knew we wanted it to be sooner rather than later because we are so excited to spend the rest of our lives together. From the very beginning, we prayed that God would take over our plans. We knew what we wanted, but we were ready to put our dreams aside for His will.

Our relationship started with God at the center. We’ve both experienced pain and challenges in the past, but we now see how He used those trials to shape us into who we are today. From our very first date, we began praying about our relationship — asking God to lead us, no matter how strong our feelings were. We wanted His plan more than our own. Prayer has always been something we’ve relied on together. We both agree that we feel closest to God when we pray side by side. So naturally, when it came time to choose our wedding venue, we prayed for His guidance once again — that He would lead us to the place where He wanted us to be married.

We visited a few venues, but none of them felt right. Then, on the way to French Country Farms, Skylar began to pray: “Lord, we are still searching for the place to get married. We want to get married where You want us to. Please lead us there and show us Your path.” Just a few minutes later, we pulled up to the venue — and immediately, we all began to cry. We were overwhelmed by the incredible feeling of love and peace that filled the air. As we talked with the venue owner, she shared that the land had been prayed over for years, asking that every event held there would be blessed. She also showed us that Bible verses are written along the concrete outside the venue and even placed within the foundation itself.

Then, laughing through happy tears, we said, “All we need now is a rainbow to confirm this is where God wants us to get married.” And right then, God showed us a beautiful rainbow stretching over the venue. We knew in that moment that this was His confirmation. Without a doubt, French Country Farms is where God led us to be married.

We are so thankful that He brought us together and continues to guide our journey. We can’t wait to celebrate our wedding day surrounded by the people we love most — at the venue He chose for us.
