Downtown Traverse City is a great place to explore on your weekend up north! Front Street is filled with great boutique shops and restaurants, and the view of the bay from the downtown walkway is a must visit!

Traverse City is known for being Michigan's wine destination! There are plenty of great wineries to visit on both peninsulas. Wine tours are available for booking through Magic Shuttle Bus Tours, Grand Traverse Tours, or several other booking companies online. You can also stop in and visit a winery or two on your own if you prefer not to take a tour.

We love Fishtown, another hidden gem of Northern Michigan. Taking a walk around and visiting all the small shanty shops is a must, especially if whitefish dip is your thing! Leland is also home to many beautiful hiking trails that we highly recommend.

Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is about a 40 minute drive from the venue, and a great option for scenic views of Lake Michigan. If you've never been, we strongly suggest that you take the scenic drive out to this national park and hike the beautiful dunes to this iconic lookout over Lake Michigan.

One of our favorite things to do together is to cook, and Traverse City has one of our favorite grocery markets anywhere in the world! Burritt's Fresh Market has everything you need for a cute date in, or the perfect meal with friends :)
