It all started in August 2021 with a direct message from Rahil on DilMil. This transformed into daily conversations giving Sonal and Rahil the chance to get to know each other from miles apart. After a few months, they finally met in October 2021 in the charming town of Downtown Roswell, Georgia.

For nearly two years, they navigated the challenges of a long-distance relationship. During that time, Sonal was running the family business while Rahil was finishing medical school and preparing for his residency in orthopedic surgery. The dedication they had to each other by prioritizing their communication and creating the time to visit each other was what really made their relationship special. This led to Sonal’s move to Georgia in June 2023.

Once they were finally together, they discovered how much their similarities and differences strengthened their relationship. In their differences, they clearly saw how they are the perfect balance to each other. It became certain that this was the person they each wanted to spend the rest of their lives with.

After months of planning in secret, March 2024 would be their most memorable trip yet! Little did Sonal know that on the terrace of a beautiful castle in Costa Rica, Rahil would propose.

Which brings us to today! After a beautiful and intimate chaipani, we’re eagerly planning their wedding which is set for October 2025 in Dallas, TX. We can’t wait to celebrate with all of you on the anniversary of when they first met!
