Will there be a rehearsal dinner or any pre-wedding events?

Due to the intimate nature of this event and limited time and space with the venue, any pre-wedding event will be limited only to the wedding party, officiant, and the parents of the Bride and Groom.

Where will the ceremony and reception be held?

The ceremony is being held at the historic Willis House in York, PA - it will be an intimate affair, with the ceremony being held outdoors and the reception immediately to follow.

What should I wear? What are your colors?

The couple would like this to be a semi-formal affair; That said, the venue is outdoors and in August, it may be quite warm. Cocktail dresses or polo shirts are fine - stay cool and comfortable! The primary colors for the wedding party are lavender and sage; feel free to dress to match, although it is not required!

Will there be parking at the venue? Is transportation included?

The Willis house has an area with ample room for vehicles, and staff that will ensure the flow of traffic as guests arrive. Parking on site is complimentary. There is no shuttle service to the venue - guests are expected to drive their own vehicles.

What time should I arrive?

The ceremony will begin at 4:30 p.m. - staff at the Willis House look forward to guests arriving beginning at 4:00, but don’t be late!

Can I bring my kids?

The ceremony and reception are not child-free, and the couple looks forward to meeting children! There is room on site for children to run and play after the ceremony. If you worry that your children will not enjoy the ceremony, the couple asks that you please consider alternate arrangements until after the ceremony is concluded in order to limit disruptions.

Can I bring a date?

Yes of course! When completing your RSVP, please include the full list of people you intend to bring (your +1, kids, etc.) However, the couple does ask to limit the number of additional guests to only a +1 and children due to the intimate nature of the venue and the estimated head count for catering.

Can I take my own photographs?

The couple has elected to use the services of a professional photographer for their ceremony and important moments during the reception. They ask that the ceremony be entirely device free - photos will be permitted during cocktail hour/reception, but please defer to the photographer on site.

Will I be able to stay at a hotel nearby?

Absolutely - the couple has blocked rooms on a first-come, first-serve basis at the Hampton Inn & Suites, 2159 S Queen St, in York; check the travel page for rates, available dates to check in and out, and the discount code! You are also welcome to make other arrangements if you prefer.

Will there be a cocktail hour before the reception?

Yes! Both the cocktail hour and reception will be catered by Milk and Honey Catering - there will be Hors d'Oeuvres and drinks available for guests at the conclusion of the ceremony

What sort of food will be featured for the reception?

The couple elected for a buffet style reception, and have included options for guests with various dietary restrictions - vegetarians and vegans will have options available, along with the more carnivorous guests! Please check the menu tab for a full list of available options during cocktail hour and the reception.

Will there be alcohol?

There will be an open bar with a limited selection of beer and wine, along with His-and-Hers signature cocktails! Please elect to bring cash to provide tips to the bar staff, should you feel so inclined (there is no ATM on site.) The venue prohibits additional hard liquor or BYOB - please do not jeopardize the event by providing any alcohol beyond what is available.

How late can I stay?

Cocktail hour begins at 5:00 p.m., and the reception will follow immediately after. The venue will remain open until 9:00 p.m., so feel free to enjoy the reception until then!

Should I bring a gift?

While it is certainly not required, the couple has created a registry of items they would appreciate - feel free to consult the registry tab! Please refrain from bringing physical gifts to the event, as space during the reception may be limited.
