The weekend of our wedding also happens to be West Virginia University move-in weekend. We currently have a room block at The Cranberry (listed below), and will likely have one at the Microtel as well. There are a lot of cool cabins, etc., around Bruceton Mills. We would encourage guests to check out Airbnb and Vrbo for some great options.

The Cranberry, Ascend Hotel Collection, is a boutique hotel located near Cheat Lake. We have a 10-room block that expires on June 27, 2025. You will need to call to book and just say that you are booking for the Dovey Wedding.

Located in the mountains of West Virginia, these deluxe cabins with hot tubs offer seclusion and the convenience that you need, just a 20-minute drive from the venue. Make memories by taking an outdoor adventure or simply relax and enjoy the scenic views and wildlife that can be seen at all locations.

Where To Stay

Q + A

A beautiful state park that we have spent a lot of time at. There are multiple hiking and biking trails, as well as camp sites and the most beautiful outlooks. Coopers Rock is right off the interstate between Morgantown / Cheat Lake area and our home in Bruceton!

Coopers Rock State Forest

This is one of our favorite trails to hike! Not only was this the first "date" that we went on, this is also the trail where Grant proposed. It holds a special place in our hearts and we would love for you to experience its beauty for yourselves!
