Perhaps the earliest photo to date- Sophia and Brandon met through the youth group at Holy Family Parish in Kirkland. There was no romance at this time, but they spent lots of time around each other, including 2 weeks at World Youth Day in Krakow, Poland. Little did they know the plan that God had in store for them!

At the end of her Junior year at UW, Brandon reaches out to Sophia to catch up over a happy hour...which turned into a 6 hour long first date. Brandon fell head over heels for "the cute girl from church" and couldn't help but want to spend more time together. Their friendship quickly became chemistry as they went around town on a scavenger hunt with the Youth & Young Adult group through HFK.

Sophia and Brandon spent an exciting summer together- sharing happy hour drinks and enjoying lakeside walks! This photo is from the day that Brandon broke the news to Sophia that he accepted his first job offer to work as a flight instructor in Bend, OR! Cheers!

It had been too long apart already- Sophia came to visit Brandon in Bend! Lots of happy and sad tears knowing that they could picture a life together, but would continue to be long-distance for the foreseeable future.

The Sevier family visits Oregon, and Sophia and Brandon get to spend a week together with the family! Lots of fun playing in the snow!

More good news- Brandon gets to come home! Brandon accepts a new job offer at Rainier Flight Service in Renton, WA! They went out to celebrate fighting through the long-distance relationship and can reunite this summer!

Sophia grew up fishing and hunting, and it was time that she showed Brandon a thing or two. He stepped up to the challenge and hooked the biggest catch of the day! Fun day fishing at Potholes Reservoir in Othello, WA

Sophia graduates from the University of Washington, majoring in Computer Science with minors in Dance and Russian language. Sophia is excited for the summer off before starting her full-time job at Tableau as a software engineer!

Brandon escapes work and Sophia joins him and his family to celebrate his grandmother's birthday at Semiahmoo Resort in Blaine, WA! Sophia gets to meet Brandon's mom's side of the family. She didn't get scared away- phew!

Brandon is busy building flight hours and Sophia lovingly packs picnics for the two to enjoy on his little time off! They spent the summer in the sun and discerned their future together.

Brandon and Sophia travel to Hawaii with the Sevier family for Parker (Sophia's brother) and Carly's wedding in Hawaii. Brandon was SO nervous the whole time- knowing that he would return home to pick up the engagement ring he had picked out months prior!

The big day! What started off as a casual date to celebrate our one year anniversary of dating, quickly turned into the biggest surprise ever!
