Bridle Trails is a beautiful nature walk... or a hike if you get lost! :) You may be sharing the path with neighbors walking their dogs, or horses passing on by! Brandon and Sophia loved walking just a few blocks from his childhood home into the forest- you never know what wildlife you may see! Mind the owls swooping low! :)
From the website: Bridle Trails State Park is a 489-acre day-use park with 28 miles of trails that welcomes equestrians, hikers and visitors. It does not offer bike trails or camping. The park is known as one of the top equestrian parks west of the Mississippi; it does not, however, offer horse rentals.
Enjoy this beautiful location on Kirkland's waterfront, a popular site for high school Prom photos throughout the years. I promise, you don't want to see the photos.. haha! But I promise, you don't want to miss this view!
From the website: Only a very few places in the world have the combination of elements that make Carillon Point so special. Carillon Point’s character is recognized in its claim for some of the area’s finest office space and restaurants in addition to a four-star hotel, full-service day spa, and first-class marina facilities — all situated on the beautiful shores of Lake Washington in Kirkland, Washington.
The pace and balance of how we work, and play were carefully considered in the design of Carillon Point. A shoreline trail, manicured gardens, and sculptural art will help you recapture your thoughts and jog your creative juices. Balance is evident in all the details throughout Carillon Point.
If you find a few hours to spare, or even a hungry stomach pre/post wedding celebrations, Downtown Kirkland is a must-see! If you can, make an evening out of it by parking on the main road, check out the main streets of restaurants/boutiques, then grab gelato in time for a sunset at the marina. Sophia and Brandon hold many memories of their early dating days around here!
From the website: Downtown and close to many restaurants and shops, Marina Park features a sandy beach, boat launch, public art and a beautiful open-air pavilion as well as summer concerts and magnificent views of Lake Washington and Seattle. Marina Park is home to many of Kirkland's special events including the July 4th Celebration and Kirkland Uncorked.
If we planned the wedding right, it should be a sunny and 85F wedding day and a 65F evening with a beautiful sunset. And you did SO good by fighting your sweet-tooth before the wedding to look good in that dress or suit... but one scoop of delicious gelato won't make or break it now. Take it to-go and walk around Kirkland Marina Park!
Come and dine at the old stomping grounds of Brandon and his younger sister Brooke as they proudly worked together throughout high school as a busser and a hostess. Take your time at this one- this original Anthony's location is going to WOW you with the food, but don't forget to look outside every once in awhile too.
From the website: Anthony’s HomePort Kirkland is located on the Eastern shores of Lake Washington with stunning views of Hunts Point, Sand Point, and the Seattle skyline. This location was founded in 1975 and was the very first Anthony’s HomePort.
Like all of our family-owned restaurants, the Kirklnad HomePort restaurant is unique to the Kirkland community – reflecting the style and personality of the neighborhood.
