Sophie and Marc’s paths crossed many times growing up in New Orleans, including starring in Stuart Hall plays and playing golf at Metairie Country Club, but it was not until after college that the couple connected. Sophie and Marc were living in different cities, Sophie in Nashville, Tennessee and Marc in New Orleans, Louisiana. Over the Labor Day weekend Sophie and Marc were both in Orange Beach, Alabama and planned to meet in person for the first time at The Flora Bama. The couple hit it off from the beginning, and the next day, Marc was invited on Sophie's parents' boat to go tubing. Bob, Sophie's father, tried his best to throw Marc off the tube, but Marc persevered and remained on the tube. After the fun-filled weekend, Sophie went back to Nashville and Marc to New Orleans. The distance did not stop their affection towards each other from blossoming.

Marc visited Sophie many times in Nashville, enjoying Printer’s Alley, the live music and the fantastic restaurants. Shortly after, Marc obtained a job in Nashville and moved there, which put an end to their long-distance relationship. Sophie and Marc acclimated to the cold winters in Nashville by learning how to cook Defined Dish soups and drinking hot tea.

Sophie and Marc’s careers brought them to Houston, Texas. While there, they have enjoyed traveling to Fredericksburg, Texas, attending the Houston Rodeo, and experiencing its diverse food scene.

Sophie said, "Yes!" in St. George Island, Florida with Sophie and Marc's family surrounding them with love and excitement. St. George Island is a very special place for Sophie because she has vacationed there with her family every summer since her first birthday in 1998. Sophie and Marc cannot wait for all to come and to get married on January 11, 2025!
