It's with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that Scott and Sophie welcome you to their Enchanted Wedding Ceremony which will begin at 12:30 in the golden afternoon in the Music Room of Powderham Castle. Guests are more than welcome to arrive at the Castle an hour before the ceremony time. The Enchanted Wedding Ceremony will be an intimate and bespoke ceremony officiated by a celebrant and will last approximately 30- 40 minutes. After The Enchanted Wedding Ceremony there will be a Minnie drinks reception followed by a delicious array of munchies and crunchies for all our guests to enjoy. The speeches will also take place sometime around this timeline and guests will be informed when this will be happening. Guests have free roam of the castle as it will be closed to the public for Sophie and Scott's fairytale wedding. The backdrop with the castle behind is perfect for photo opportunities as is the grand staircase and the rose terrace which over looks the deer meadow. The wedding celebrations will continue onto the rose terrace for this is where the confetti celebrations will take place. It does depend however on whether or not we get little September showers if we do however get September showers then the wedding celebrations will continue inside the castle. Leaving time from Powderham Castle to Devon Hotel and Carriages will be anytime after 4:30 in the late afternoon, when the last petal falls. 🥀 Castle guests are welcome to arrive at Carriages before 5pm as the happily ever after evening reception guests are due to arrive at this time. It doesn't matter whether you choose to travel by car or flying on a magic carpet ride, the journey can take approximately 10 minutes between both venues. Sophie and Scott happily invite you to their Enchanted Wedding Ceremony. Both are very much looking forward to taking their guests to a whole new world, as they celebrate this magical part of the day with you.

TO ALL WHO COME TO THIS HAPPY PLACE, WELCOME! Here you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy for this is the place where all dreams and wishes come true, as both sets of guests come together for this magical celebration. The Happily Ever After Evening Reception will be hosted in the Regency Suite at Devon Hotel and Carriages. Guests along with their children can start to arrive from 5pm onwards. There will be photos taken of the newly married couple with all their guests on the lawn outside the Regency Suite depending on the weather. If there are little September showers photos will be taken inside Carriages. The Happily Ever After Evening Reception will be a relaxed celebration in the context that there will not be a formal seating plan. There will be a roast bap buffet which will be available sometime after 5pm. There will be two meat options which will consist of pork and gammon with a variety of sides and sauces with gluten free and vegetarian options available. The next part of the evening will be a piece of cake as Sophie and Scott share their first dance together as a married couple. After that it will finally be that time where all guests including the Bride and Groom have all been waiting for... PARTY! There will be a Magic Mirror in the corner by the wall and the Bride and Groom would like photos of you all. For guests who'll have a few too many poisoned apple drinks there are rooms located within Devon Hotel where guests can stay the night. Unlike Cinderella the party will continue beyond midnight till 12:30 with no glass slippers left behind. The Bride and Groom will have a last dance at the end of the night, for this is a dream Sophie and Scott have always wished for. As there won't be a professional photographer and videographer that time of night the newly weds kindly ask that any guests who wish to stay behind till the end to watch the last dance, to please record videos and take photos so they can be sent to the happily newly married couple. ✨Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo!✨ Scott and Sophie are looking forward to celebrating their Happily Ever After with you.
