Sophie and Aaron met in March 2020 while working at a guiding company in central Utah. As the world shut down, they decided to explore the beautiful landscapes of the Utah desert together on their off-shifts.

In Summer 2021, Aaron and Sophie took work that led them to different parts of the country. Sophie spent the time backpack guiding in Yosemite National Park while Aaron travelled the country working as a rope access technician. At the end of the summer, they decided to move into their first home together in Salt Lake City.

Their adventures together continued taking them to the Enchantments in Washington, skiing in the Tetons, climbing in Idaho, surfing in Hawaii, exploring British Columbia and more.

Since then, they've explored countless new places together, adopted a puppy named Astro, learned to see the beauty of the world, and fall in love more and more every day.

Sophie and Aaron got engaged in April 2023 at Snowbird Ski Resort here in Utah surrounded by friends while celebrating an end of season ski prom.
