Two girls walk into a bar… the rest is history!

We were very fortunate to have a close friend in our life who brought us together without knowing it. John Shea was our secret matchmaker and a damn good one at it.

One random night out in Chicago we both ended up at a fun bar in old town, Up Roar, where John worked. After a few drinks and fun conversations, we agreed to go out on a date the following Thursday.

We chose Little Victories as our first date night spot, Gina refused to make eye contact with Stef the whole night, after a couple of hours Stef thought we’d end the night and go our separate ways. A few of Gina’s friends convinced us to keep the night going and meet them at a bar down the street. Stef was quickly thrown into the wolves den with all of Gina’s friends interrogating her and make sure her intentions were good.

It had only been a few weeks and of course Gina had a trip in mind, she asked Stef to go to Mexico. This would have been their official 4th date lol Lots of tacos and piña colada were consumed and fun in the sun.

By the time we got back to the states Gina and Stef quickly realized this wasn’t just casual dating and were ready to take the next step, U-Haul baby!

Fast forward to January 2024, through the years we had many ups and down. We’ve laughed, we’ve cried, we’ve lost loved ones and gained new friends and family. At the end of the day we continued to choose each other in life and are excited to continue our journey together.

Where we’re at now:
We bought our first place together in Logan Square and Tigger finally has a backyard! We’ve been on countless vacations and excited to continue to exploring the world together.

We lost John, our match maker and dear friend, we miss him and are thankful everyday he helped bring us together. We wouldn’t be here without him.
