Daniel and Steph first officially met in 2016 at Caty and Dan's friendsgiving party. They talked about biking (obviously), mutual Under Armour connections, and probably books, to start. Daniel asked Caty if he could have Steph's number, but Caty had to check with Steph first. She said, "yes," of course.

Over the years, after becoming great friends, they figured they'd give it a real go in December 2019. Well, Steph waited for Daniel to hit go, but it was perfect timing before COVID hit and they had to rely on each other, uh huh, from one moment to another, uh huh. Daniel proposed August 21st and they celebrated together with the people who brought them together: Caty and Dan!

Steph and Daniel's Top 10 Fun Facts:

10. They've visited 20 states (and "state") together (Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Montana, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, Washington, D.C., Wisconsin, plus Aruba!).

9. They've read 0.5 books simultaneously. (Steph couldn't finish It.)

8. They've been to two weddings together: Caty and Dan's in Charlottesville, Virginia, and Britany and Rob's in Portland, Oregon. Steph cut a rug at both! Daniel decidedly did not.

7. They've been to 4 stadiums together: Texas Rangers (World Series champs!), Baltimore Orioles, Washington Commanders (blech), and Seattle Mariners.

6. They've attended 2 concerts: Matt & Kim and Bob Schneider.

5. They've been cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, snow tubing, boating, hiking, biking, axe-throwing, jeeping, sailing, snorkeling, cross-country tripping, jet skiing, pickleballing, and all kinds of exploring!

4. They have owned 7 bikes, 3 cars, and 1 stand-up paddleboard since knowing each other.

3. They have won monthly trivia 3 times (with the trophies to prove it!)...and too many weekly wins to count. Our moms DO think we're smart!

2. They have one household rule (so far): Steph always cooks and Daniel always cleans. It's working out so far!
