OBSERVE THE ELK RUT IN ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK

From mid-September to mid-October, and even into November, head to the Kawuneeche Valley of Rocky Mountain National Park to see elk gather in herds of up to 100 to spar and mate. The sounds of bull elk bugling add to the experience.
